    80ish Song Help Needed

I was at my Day Job and we were listening to the 80's station on sirius and this one song came on and I can't get it out of my mind. Can you guys help me?

Parts that I remember go like this "....and I don't believe in you anymore anymooorrre. So I guess it must be true.... I guess this is goodbuy..... (some more corus).... I guess this is gooodbuy."

Does this ring a bell to anyone? I could have gotten "I guess this may be true" wrong but it def. had the "I guess this is goodbuy" as the main line in the song. It also wasn't a slow song.

    PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP!

    Thank you guys,
    ~A

Hmm. I'm stumped. The only song I know with lyrics like that is a Maroon 5 song, so totally not an '80s song. Imma scour the net now. I wanna know what it is!

^ yah that's what I thought too. Maroon 5. And I'm always one up on the damn 80's music. So if this is 80's it slipped by me.

Yup, that's the lyrics to "Makes Me Wonder" by Maroon 5, it's in the Top 40 right now. I also can't think of an 80's song like that.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but does "Makes Me Wonder" sample "Fresh" by Kool And The Gang?

For all we know, your Sirius dial might've slipped one click to the right to Channel 9 "The Pulse", where you heard that Maroon 5 track. *heh*

No, it wasn't sampled. However, I read in Rolling Stone somewhere that Adam Levine was heavily influenced by Stevie Wonder, Prince, and other soul/funk albums for the current album. So that's prolly why it sounds like such.
