Default Question on large SILICONE implant sizes

Soo, I called my original doc's office and I think I'm going to go back to him. He did a great job the first time, I have a place I can stay a few days in FL after surgery, and he does silicone. Also, I figure he would know best how to redo his own work! Got a consult for Aug 14, and they said I could get in for surgery in Sep no problem.

After some research, I think I want to go with silicone replacements a big bigger than what I have now, and forget the lift. If I got a lift I'd have to go SMALLER and that is totally out of the question until after I'm done dancing. I like the way my boobs hang at the moment - so many guys think they're real or aren't sure, and they aren't that low. Just enough to look like natural big tits

The question is, how big to go, and where to put them? I have 625cc overs now, but want to go bigger to fill up the skin that's stretched since the last BA 4 years ago. I know they will settle back down to my current position (just bigger) and that's fine. What I don't want is to get them so big and heavy that they drop significantly lower than they are now. I don't know how much longer I'll dance, but I'm pretty sure it will be another year or more. I will eventually get a lift and smaller implants after I retire.

Is it possible to switch to unders with a large implant now? Or should I just stick with the overs and go up to 7-800cc (the size I think I want)? Also, I think I read somewhere a while back that silicone or saline weighs more than the other but I can't find anything online. Anyone know??

Silicone weighs a tiny bit more but it really doesn't make a much of a difference.

I'm not sure you'd be able to switch to unders if you want to go bigger because they'd have to make an entirely new pocket and I've very rarely heard of anyone being able to fit 7-800cc into a fresh under muscle pocket. It'd risk symmastia in most cases as the pressure might be too much for the unstretched muscles.

Do you plan on dancing for maybe a year or at least a year? As in, can you see yourself still dancing in 4 years or something? I would really think that switching implants for only a year or two would be a waste if you do fine with the pair you have and intend on going smaller in the future... Especially with under the muscle placement you'd spend most of that time healing the implants!

I am sure I'll dance another year, probably more. Depending on how things go with my other business plans, I could totally see myself dancing until I'm 40 or so, even if only part time.

I think you're right about the unders; overs are probably best for me. The main thing is, I don't want all the scarring most lifts would leave while I'm dancing - I'd rather have them hang a bit as they do now, and get a lift with smaller implants later on.

yup, stick with overs ... and 800's should be enough of a jump up in volume to tighten things up automatically.

I was thinking about 800. Of course when I got the first one I thought 5-550, but the doc said I needed 600+. If it goes the same this time around, he may want to put 900-1000 in there LOL

    Bridgette...

Have you looked in to implants placed under the fascia? That's where mine are... over the muscle, under the fascia and the fascia holds them in place really nicely. If you went bigger, it'd help allot with the weight of the implant causing more sagging. And the recovery time is very short like with regular over the muscle implants.

The doctor I went to created this method and teaches it to other surgeons around the world. I think he charges 4100 for silicone implants.... but he's in Oklahoma.

Hmm. I read something about implants under the fascia on another site. I don't know why it didn't stick in my mind. Which doc in OK?

As for the stretching skin - it's always going to stretch when you get implants. The amount of stretch depends on several factors like how big you go, implant placement, the condition of your skin, age, the condition of your breasts, etc. My boobs basically settled right into the same position they were in pre-BA, just bigger and fuller. Obviously the skin had to stretch to accommodate the implants and the weight of them.

Well, once you get to the 1000cc mark, you can write off the cost as a business expense tax deduction under the Chesty Love IRS Letter Ruling !!!

MissTaylor, I found Dr Metcalf online by doing a search for subfascial implants. I'm glad you mentioned him. Anyway, I have a question for you. He says that he uses local anaesthetic with sedation for surgery, not general anaesthesia. How did that work for you? I would love to see some pics of your too

    Oy. I just found this:
Oklahoma City surgeon Joe Dan Metcalf faced more than 30 lawsuits and was ordered to pay nearly $300,000 in malpractice judgments in the early 1990s, state and court records show. His license was suspended for one year in 1996 after he pleaded guilty to illegally importing silicone-gel breast implants.

    A five-year probation was imposed in 1997.
    That's a bit unsettling.

Hmm, yes it is. I just called his office spoke with the receptionist and was all excited that it'd only be $3500 for a redo w/ saline..(I'm still unsure about silicone)
Now I have chills down my back ! Fuck why does this always happen. Damn, now I have alot of thinking to do.

I remember booking my redo with a well known dr. in Houston, I'd even paid for everything upfront . Only to find out from an insurance adjuster I just happened to give a lap dance to a week prior to my surgery date that a little girl had died in his operating room. The shit freaked me out, even though it was the suppose to have been the anaesthesiologist's fault for over drugging her. I couldn't get the thought out of my mind.
Luckily, I was given a full refund.

    Farrah

Out of curiosity, how full is his calendar - was it hard to get a surgery date?

    30 lawsuits is a lot...
