What can I do Now?
So, jobs here in my town suck bad. And there's none available, so I went to a neighbouring town, about 40 minutes away, and well, now my boyfriend is like, "The car is going to break down cuz you'rs driving it so much!!" "You're not going to make enough money in tips to pay for gas every two days!" and "the car is going to need an oil change once a month!" And so on. How on earth can I show him that getting this job as a server in a, well, not huge, but not a bad strip club? I mean, I was there last night talking to the manager & handed him my resume, and it was a MONDAY night, and it was almost full. I'm betting the capacity is around 150 people, and it was about 50 short last night. So, I'm thinking, it probably is better than the job I have now, making about $15 - $25 in tips per shift. I mean, it just HAS to right?
Any advice on this would be great! Well, at least something to say to him to show him that I'd be better off working there making more money. He says I'm going to have to make at least $100 per night in tips to make it worth while, And I'm pretty sure that's possible. Am I right? Or should I just try to find something closer even if it means I'll be out of a job in about 2 weeks cuz it's closing?

There's only one way to find out if it's worth your while.....

Re: What can I do Now?
Yeah I know that one, like I have to prove it. I've worked before in another strip club in the same town for a bit, and I did alright there, even on a slow night I still pulled in decent money and that's what I'm basing this on. The other club was capacity at around the same number, maybe even less cuz there was no pool tables. Well, I'll find out within the week if he's going to call me for an interview anyway. I want it badly, I jsut don't want to mess it up and be wrong for doing it.

Lots of low cut tops babe, and shiny lip gloss.
I swear, sometimes the waitresses walk out with more money in tips than the dancers, plus they get a wage check.
You CAN trade in that car before it breaks down...If you work hard you can get a down payment for something better. A lot of clubs will "provide" papers for their employees to get car loans so they can have a reliable server getting to work on time (ideally).

Re: What can I do Now?
Oh my car is brand new, it's a 2006, he's just paranoid it's going to fuck up. That's him! And the thing he doesn't get, is that my DAD lives in the damn town where the SC is that I want to work at. And well, my dad is a MECHANIC!! Well gee, isn't that funny, I thought mechanics fixed cars. Oh, and not to mention, FREE oil changes and tires at cost to my dad with free labour, and on and on. I mean, I think he's just freaking out that I'm not going to make any tips because the place I work at now is closing because no one is coming here. And I have the tendency to not sit down and think for about a month on whether or not to do something, I just find it and go with it. I don't now how to get it through his head that servers make good money, especially in bars and clubs. I mean, I really want this job, and I'm giong to take it anyway, like that's what he said, if the guy offers it to me to take it. He's just making sure I know what I'm doing and I've thought about all the problems that could go wrong. I need to get him on here to let you all tell him it's a good job!! haha, maybe not as good as dancing, but the next best thing!!
