    Default Burn Out!

I went thru a divorce last Oct and ever since I have been in a real slump. Ive tried to tell myself that it's just summer (summers are notoriously bad in Tampa) and that all will be ok come Sept/Oct. I started working dayshift last year around this time and I love it. I have been making money, but only enough to pay the bills and cant save, shop, travel, etc.

I am getting NEKKID for cryin out loud! haha...Anyone have any tricks for me to "refresh" myself?

I'm beginning to feel like the customers can sense I'm in a bad mood although I think I do a pretty good job at keeping up appearances....

    what to do?!

I wish I knew..god I HATE summer in south Fl. My money always disappears. Yesterday I walked out with nothing. Literally...zero dollars. I actually made $5 which I forced the DJ to take(I hate not giving him anything..he's awesome). We had about 4 guys in all day drinking themselves into oblivion and none of them gave up a single dollar to the girls all day. (my big $5 was made by 2 guys who came in,tipped a cpl girls and left quickly)
I actually left almost 2 hrs early(which I never do). The last straw was when I walked up to one guy and before I could say hi, he deliberately turned his chair away from me. That PISSES me off.
My manager must have seen the look on my face because I wasnt even up to him yet when he said "its ok...go home".

All I can tell you is to take as much time off as you can afford. Relax, get a massage or get your nails done...something that pampers you. Concentrate on anything that makes you happy...even things as simple as dinner with your family... or your favorite TV show. Know that this crappy season will pass and soon the clubs will be full of PAYING customers again!

Every year I tell myself to save up enough so i can take the summer off since it just irritates the hell out of me. But I can never do that..at least not without depleting my savings( I would like to have summer $$ on TOP of my savings!)

Don't have a cheery answer for you, just wanted to say I empathize! This has been the worst summer I've ever seen. The only thing still making me the money to pay the bills, is the CR...my liver is shot. Well, it's better that flipping burgers right?

Definetely, my worst summer too by far!!!! And I live in Las Vegas. I did very well last summer, but we didn't have nearly as many girls because everyone knows how dead it is here in the summer. But for some reason this year we have way too many girls. Bummer for making money.

I had to take a week off for burn out. I'm going back tonight. the money hasn't been fantastic, but it's been pretty good considering it's summer. They say August is the worst though.

But my advice would be to find cheap, entertaining things to do until the money comes back, and just try to relax!!

You can alway get books and vids from the library for free. hang out in coffee shops. write. Do some craft projects. Go for long walks.

Good luck, I'm trying to hang in there myself.

It helps to take a mental break and relax. Money sometimes comes when least expected.

I know most people can't but IF you can, take time off to recharge so you'll be stronger in the Fall. If you can't take off do a lot more quiet actvities like reading, yoga, etc.

When in the Fall month is it going to really be popping...? I didn't know South Florida was just as bad.
