If you go, give us a review please...We have to furnish a couple houses and a drive to Portland isn't outlandish since we live close enough.

OMG when the one opened in the Phoenix area traffic was backed up on the expressway five miles from the exit. Fuck that mess, I'd go next week.

the traffic isn't bad at all here. it didn't really even affect the commute this morning. there is a LOT of parking so that may have helped. they've been on the news all morning and when they show inside, it was busy, but not outrageous...pretty much like what i'd expect the week before christmas as far as shopping goes.

Heh, the one here opened a month or so ago, it was crazy for about a week, then it calmed down. It's still super busy, but not crazy anymore. I LOOOOOVEEE Ikea!

    ok, i went!

i got front row parking, no problem and i didn't have to wait in line to check out either!

it was busy, but they were very much adequately staffed to handle it.

i gotta say having a supervised play area there so you can shop is AWESOME!!

i got a lot of stuff that i needed (and didn't need, lol) and have a whole list of others to get..including a new dining room table.

the only things that i thought were overpriced were the couches, but everything else was fantastic and very inexpensive!

they have an "as is" section of damaged or floor model stuff. even a section in there for "handy people", which pretty much was pieces of furniture i.e. shelves or doors to dressers etc... i'm gonna make some long (about 4ft) wall shelves out of some very nice dresser drawer fronts that i got for $1.50 each!!!! WOOT!

so MadMaxine, yes, go, it's worth it!

so 2 thumbs up for ikea!
