Ugh I just found a tick crawling up my foot...have no idea where he came from as I have been in this store all day...I killed him but now everytime even a hair moves on me I think its another!!! God I HATE ticks so much...fucking Maine...

*shrugs* I live in PA. Ticks are a fact of life here. I knew all about them, how to extract one, and all about Lyme Disease by the time I was eight. I've found several who had already latched on and taken a sip, and it was more irritation than OMGEWWWW! That's the hunter in me I suppose.
Oh I'm all about getting rid of them and killing them....but I still get the creppy crawlies wicked bad whenever I get one on me. The 1st tick I ever got was in the corner of my eye...I was 9 and woke up and thought it was a crusty...till it wouldnt come off! I lived in Mass. then and had never seen one before...I havent cared for them much since.

aww girl i feel for ya- my ratty had fleas the other day and i've had a psychosomatic itch ever since! yuck!![]()
I have had a MAJOR problem with ticks on my dogs, on me and on my grandmother this year. One of dogs does not go outside at all but the one who does I put Advantix on her. I haven't found anymore on her since I gave her her first dose for the year in May but I have had one crawling up back and my grandmother had one attached to her leg recently. I have never seen them this bad before, maybe it's because of the dryness.![]()
Yah. Ticks are gross. If you ever find one on yourself or a pet this is how to remove it: Once a tick bites you it buries its head in the skin and if you pull it out the head detaches and remains stuck in the skin. You're supposed to cover it with vaseline first because it blocks air and the tick will pull its head out because it can't breath. Then you pull it off with a tweezers and I always mush it rolled up in tp with my shoe and flush it down the toilet.
Hate ticks.
^ eww the head remains stuck in the skin? I've never seen a tick before..thank god!!!
