Default it takes a lot to make me feel like a second class citizen but this sure did it...

last night was a serious turning point in my dancing career. its not so much the lack of getting paid what iw as supposed to, but the blatent and outright actions of management that basically said "your dignaty and self respect mean less to us then our vip customers money."

i had been at work for 6 hours and made 8 dollars. that is very uncommon for me, but the whole club was doing bad.

finally a vip member (i didnt even know we had those) decided to take me upstairs to vip for the cost of 150 for 20 minutes. MIND YOU ALL OF THE MONEY IS HANDED TO DOORMEN, AND YOU GET IT AT THE END OF THE NIGHT. after the club fee and the doorman fee i only get 90. quite genrous considering the guys are allowed to touch except for the sacred zone.

within 2 minutes the guy grabs my pussy 2 times both of which i told him no. he walks out and the DOORMAN GIVE HIM HIS MONEY BACK! im sorry i call bullshit. i have never worked a club where there are refunds for dances, especially when the guy is in the wrong!!!

i storm int he dressing room and bust into tears and the housemom goes and gets the manager who tells me "IM SORRY HE IS A VIP MEMBER HE IS A GOOD CUSTOMER AND HE DESERVES HIS MONEY BACK, HERES 20 DOLLARS FOR YOUR TROUBLE."

yes thank you, 20 dollars covers the price of my dignety, my embarressment, and my 90 dollars that was rightfully mine.

i cleaned out my locker, and told him to go fuck himself.

i have never felt so dirty. maybe im over reacting, ive had far worse happen to me, but it was what the manager said and how he said it that was far worse then losing the money, but then that was pretty shitty too.

i went home and cried int he shower.

im still not really over it, i dont know where to go to now. myrtle beach has made me hate dancing.

Wow. That's Fucked up. That's. FUCKED. UP. That's disgusting.

I would have done the same thing. I would have made a scene, and I would have left. Good for you to know that you're worth more than a few bucks. Bad for them for being disgusting ass wipes. I don't think you're overreacting. I think you know your limits and you know when you're being f'ed over.

I'm sorry that happened to you.

Ugh, theres nothing worse than some guy violating you and at least not getting paid for it. Clubs are hardly ever going to realize that treating their girls good should be at the top of the list. Not some pussy grabbing customer.

Is there anywhere else you can work? I'm sorry that happened to you...thats just so degrading.

Well the best thing about this job is that you can take it anywhere. Unless you're going to school there is always commuting or moving to a city with better clubs.

I would do the same thing. So sorry that happened to you. I could not work at a club like that either.

The one time I got ripped off, I asked my manager for 3 nights free house. Then I still get something and they don't have to come out of pocket. They were nice about it and gave it to me, but it sounds like your club doesn't give a fuck, so fuck em.

You're totally right. By touching you where you're not allowing him, he assaulted you. And your club thinks that that's worth $20? I don't think that there's a $$$ price to put on assault, but at the very least, you should have gotten the $90 with *them* eating the loss if they don't want to confront him.

Now, if *I* were running the club, what I'd do is: (a) I'd give him his money back, (b) I'd give you $90, eating the loss, (c) I'd ask you if you want the police called (which you quite possibly don't, but I'd ask anyway) and (d) I'd tell the guy he's no longer welcome in the club again, ever, and that if he shows up, he'll be arrested for trespassing and that he shouldn't forget about the assault charge that might be coming, too. That's at a minimum.

Just the way I'd love to eject unruly people from restaurants, basically...

Your post made me feel like crap because I can TOTALLY see my current club doing that.

He broke the rules, HE should pay for that... not you.

Yeah, I can see my club doing that too. They had a girl whose LD custie wipes out his rig and rubbed up against her kitty. He originally bought three dances, and complained that he only got two when she freaked out on him and left. The club gave him his money back and a light admonishment, then asked another girl to take over for the last one.

Wow that is just crazy. You should have gotten your money, he should have been kicked out, and you should have been allowed to go home and get over the fact that your pussy was just grabbed.

I understand that you're really upset, but at least it only cost you 70 dollars and a pussy grab to realize that this club is a piece of shit. It could have been rape, considering that they don't seem to care at all about the dancers. I hope you feel better soon and can continue to dance.

I'm soooosorry. That's some incredibly sick shit. Would you want to try Master's? Yeah, it's a bit more money upfront in terms of house fees and dance cut but you get a helluva lot more for VIP and you can have dudes EJECTED for that shit!

I'm so sorry!! That's just so wrong when the club stops having your back by justifying the customer's actions when he is clearly in the wrong. They don't deserve to have you work for them.

Thats BULLSHIT. When will management learn that the club does better when the dancers are protected, taken care of and happy.

You get what you give. Thats why the clubs with the shittiest, most A-hole managers often have the worst, drugged up, thieveing dancers. The decent girls wont stand for that kind of treatment.

Good for you for not taking that crap. Onward and upward baby!

    I'm sorry that happened too.

That money was yours. Management should've stepped up and at the very least made him feel very uncomfortable and put on the spot in front of everyone for being such a creep. There should've been a crowd of floormen and a manager or two around him to tell him he couldn't do that and that he couldn't have his money back in the middle of the floor so as to humiliate that f-cking bastard! Good for nexting them!

I'm sooo sorry that happened. You were right, I would have done the same thing.

I'm used to VIP's getting their asses wiped out here, but luckily, I have never personally been screwed over due to it.

I would have thrown a huge ass fit, demanded my money, threatened to turn the club in for allowing nasty shit to go on, and just make a big stink. Of course, it wouldn't solve anything, but at least I'd feel better.

U R not overreacting. If you don't feel comfortable with that behavior then you don't feel comfortable with it. There is nothing wrong with that...don't let them make you feel like you are not doing your job just because you have standards. Standards they should be enforcing! I swear it is shit like this that is making me feel really good about leaving this industry. I remember when I first started they kept an eye on that crap.

    Yup. Exactly.

What do you think you are going to do now?

I wish you the best of luck. It's so shitty what happens to us sometimes. Money can come and go, but the memories just...won't go away. It's something we don't really think about before we start, and then everytime we hit a financial slump, the memories get even worse. I'm so sorry you had to go through that, my heart seriously goes out to you!
