Default Someone Tell Me What Happened Here

So, I was at the nail salon. They'd just started working on me when I developed this really intense pain in my chest (between my boobs, where the bone ends). I started sweating and shaking and I almost passed out.

Easily one of the most embarrassing things to happen to me in my lifetime. I don't know if I can show my face there again... and I really liked that place! It went away after a few minutes of drinking water and eating a couple of cookies. It came and went for about an hour... with less intensity each time.

Panic attack? I've never had one. I didn't eat much today, could that have been it?

    ... soooooooo embarrassing.

Did you have any psychological symptoms? Did you feel like you were "going crazy?" or "out of control?" It may well have been a panic attack, but the intense pain you described is kind of worrisome. I've had panic attacks but never with *severe* chest pain...this is only MY experience, though, maybe someone else knows better than me.

Sounds like a gall stone attack. The intenseness that you felt at first was the actual stone getting stuck when it was traveling from the gallbladder. After is passed thru the narrowest point it passed more quickly and less painfull. I had them and it is definately an ouchie!

The attacks are often brought on by certain foods..some but not all include lettuce, caffine and pork, though not all pork, I could eat pork ribs and nothing, but a breakfast sausage look out.

Also when my attacks occurred no position or not one thing I did would help, I would have to wait it out. Or if I threw up it would stop the pain. I guess the forcefulness would push the stone out faster thus relieving the pain.

Not sure if that is what yours was, but be prepared that if there was one there is more than likely more and the attacks will come on at the worst possible times.

Honestly I've had the same pain and it was oddly enough a pulled muscle. I had to take a lot of shallow breaths. and it wasn't something I got from straining either lol.

totally weird but yah it went away everyonce in a while I gt em' again.

If you are really concerned go to the DR ,otherwise it might be just what I had happen to me.

I just woke up from a nap... I think I'm okay now. The throwing up part was weird. Maybe my body just wasn't feeling it? Bleh, blue cheese dressing is NOT something fun to taste again.

If I were you I would go to the doctor just in case! Are you taking any kind of pills that contain caffine or have sugar problems? Even if you have never been diagnosed with sugar problems you could have developed one. Go to the Doctor...if for no other reason just security in knowing it is nothing serious that is going to cause to drop over dead!!! That is scary!

I don't think it was a panic attaqck but it could have been each person has different symptoms. I use to get panic attacks all the time due to work related stress and it would just hit me out of no where! My heart would start racing I would start sweating and feel like I was hyperventilationg and everything one go black and I would either pass out or snap out of it and sometimes it would cause me to throw up. I haven't has one in a long time...but there was a point in my life I was having 3-6 attacks a day!

Make sure you let us know how you are doing and the results if you decide the symptoms warrents a trip to the DR.

Good luck girlie! I hope everything turns out ok.

That happened to me at SWLV when my blood sugar was really low. I got cold sweats, shaky, blackout feeling, feeling like I was going to vomit. Then I ate and felt better. I just forgot to eat that day.

LOL it was so much fun I forgot to eat. LV is trouble.

A lot of us girls could tell you what we think, or suggest but it is best that you see a doctor so that tests are done to rule out a major problem. Do not panic, symptoms like these is your bodys' way of telling you that something more or less is needed. It is better to be safe and know then to have something happen later that you could have prevented. Good luck hun.
