    Smiley Melbourne in September

I have been planning to hit Melbourne for work and play (play as in to catch up with a whole heap of Melbourne based friends of mine as well as do some modelling) all year this month. I figured with the AFL final and all (even if it is two Victorian teams) it would be a good time to come down for up to two weeks (10-14 nights).

I'm ultimately going to work Goldfingers as I would most likely not be eligible to work at Rhino (have to re-audition as it has been a long long while since I have been back there).

The AFL Final is the last Saturday of September... would it be worth working the two weeks up before the week of the final or should i work the week of the final and the week before or work the week of the final and the week after?

Either would be good because september and october we get a lot of bucks nights as people are getting married at that time of year.

Things have picked up again in melbourne. There were 2 big teams playing on friday and the club was very busy and same with saturday night.

At centrefold lounge we have a new dance manager - Taylor (stage name) from Bar20 and she is already making massive improvements.
We had not had any functions at work in months as not many people get married this time of year so no bucks nights. She organised 5 functions on sat and the club was packed with both levels open.

yeh she has. We all loved Liz but she never wanted to work full time as she still dances at MG and "Taylor" is fantastic and very lovely. She worked at Bar20 for 10 years and has titles and some great ideas for the place.

I would love to work with u again!! it was so busy last time we didn't get much of a chance to talk. next time u should join myself and some other girls for breakfast in lygon st after work.

Should I think about working at Centerfolds due to this change in management? How easy is it for someone who will be a "fly by" dancer to work there in September? As I may only work for that period in September and not again for quite awhile. Is it really worth working there esp. if you prefer week day night shifts? Last I read week day nights were crap for Centerfolds (yes?).

I will be wanting to work something like Mon, Tues, Thur, Sat (maybe Sun) or Mon, Thur, Sat, Sun. I need a club that is going to be lucrative during the week not just weekend (Sat). Plus I need a club that will allow me to have a break in the DR whenever I want for however long I want esp. if it is a long shift (I need a half hour (approx) break every 5 hours to last).

The only reason I'm shy-ing away from possibly working at Centerfolds is due to how i keep reading how strict they are in their dances. I like to give alot of body 2 body contact (NO TOUCHING ME), breathing on necks, biting ear lobes, light short grinding (only for a few seconds here and there) and so on... and I doubt I would be able to do the type of dances I'm comfortable doing (and do best thus ensuring multiple dances). I'm not afraid of touching the customer - no crotch grabbing or anything 'nasty' like that... just in a very sensual/erotic manner... as part of the lap dance (the art of seduction).

    ^^^
at the moment the most profitable nights to work are fri, sat and sun. They have temporarily stopped house fee on thur nights due to shortage of girls willing to work.

    So now it's

    sun-thur no house fee
fri and sat - $30 house fee

You will be able to work shorter shifts if u need to but u will have to prearrange that such as a 4am finish.

you can sit in the dressing room for as long as you llike (some girls seem to live in there) as long as u are not meant to be on a table.

the dance rules have relaxed and Taylor seems to be bringing some much needed changes to the place.

she has been doing some shows ALEE and all im, gonna say is WOW she is amazing.

GCG in sept the weeknights should pick up again.
i will let u know closer to the time if u like. at the moment i am only doing fri, sat as its just not worth it for me to work weeknights right now.
weeknights have been about $200 av whereas they are usually about $400 av.

I need to be able to pretty much guarantee myself $200 per shift after fees for me to work a club. I know I can do that at Goldfingers as it is only 6 x $50 dances.. easy!

It isn't so much that I want to work shorter shifts (I'm okay with starting as soon as the club opens as long as I have the option of finishing earlier) .. it is just that if I am going to have to be at a club for longer than 5 hours then I would like the option of being able to take a break whenever I am able to do so.

I don't live in the dressing room. When I take my break, I usually read and/or eat... basically make myself look occupied. I use the dressing room when needed - I try to stay out of "living" in there.

I would be very surprised in sept if you did not make a lot more than $200 at CF.

It's up to u in the end.

But at CF you have a lot less girls to compete with and either no or low house fees.
Plus CF prints u a receipt for house fees whereas from what I have heard goldfingers charges an extra $5 for a receipt (pretty shit IMO).

I was considering working at goldfingers a while ago, I went for an interview there but I decided against due to two main reasons:

    - the house fees are $60 on weeknights and $70 on weekends (plus $5 if you require a receipt)
    - the have a 3 night minimum and some weeks due to uni I just cannot afford timewise to work 3 nights

As I said the dance rules have relaxed a lot as have the dress rules.
I think they have finally realised that the club needs to be run not like a mini MG but as it's own unique club.
Beck is encouraging girls to wear costumes during the night on weekends and I now notice girls wearing short skirts and prints/patterns and see through YEY.

Hmm... sounds like things are starting to look up for CF! Also sounds like it is alot less "stuffy" than I was thinking (or had the impression from posts on here)... I don't mind Rhino's "gown club" sort of thing.. it works for that club.

Just that I do like to be able to have my own style in a club. Glad costumes are allowed to be worn then I can really whip out some of my favourites like my nurse and firewoman (firefighter)... hehehe

Okay, please do PM me with the details for who to contact and what time so I can be put on the roster for when I do know my dates for September. I'm thinking the last two weeks of September at the moment... as it still gives me plenty of enough time to do stuff back home here.

I'm currently thinking 16th Sep to 1st Oct. Fly in on a Sunday, start work Monday night (a nice quiet night so I can get used to the club) and fly out on a Monday (so as I can work a Saturday night and be rested to a certain degree before leaving).

I'm getting excited! Just need to get the money together now

I am at CF now too ... weekends are pretty good. However I did my first week night this week and it will be my last! There were only about 15 people through the door all night, 6 girls and we closed at 2am with no customers left!

I can see why they don't charge house fee on week nights!

Guess it just depends how many nights a week you want to work GCG, at the mo I am happy with just the weekend so it suits me. If you are wanting to do a steady week shift you might want to suss out all your options first.

(Will be keeping my eye out for you this weekend Jessica ... are you on?)

I would love any feedback any one has on the Rhino!

Shame about the weekdays. I was hoping that it would be worth-while .. as in min. $200 per night (selling 4 x $50 dances).. during the weekdays... Monday, Wed, Thur nights.

I only work Saturday for the "weekends" and maybe Friday or Sunday if I feel up to it.

I'm still leaning towards Centerfolds. We'll see.

Granted, I'm still coming down. Plane ticket booked for 17th September. Will stay until 3rd yet not work my last few nights as I want them to be "catch up with friends and family" days and nights.

It is a really friendly club ... I guess it all depends on what you are used to and how you hustle. You 'should' be able to make your minimum in the weeknights and then I guess make up the rest on the weekend.

Some girls made a lot less than that on Tues night (I don't think one girl even had a dance all night!) But that was her ... not you

If you don't mind chatting to the customers for awhile and doing $20 dances I think the weekdays can be ok. That is just what I picked up on. A lot of the guys like to chat before deciding at CF I have found - they don't work too well with the hard sell.

Crap. I dislike having to sit around for half an hour to sell only a $20 or $50 lap dance. I tend to stick around for up to 2-3 songs and if they aren't interested then.. I would much rather hang out with myself or chill with my CDs in the DR or something instead of spending alot of "free" time with patrons (as they aren't customers til they buy a lap dance).

Plus I generally only sell $20 (or one song/5 min) lap dances if that is all the guy has when he want to continue (or he has already spent on me previously that night and that's all he has left for a second lap dance).

Hmm... How are stage tips? How full on is the stage there ?

Whilst there are good reasons for me to give CFs a go over Goldies (esp. the lack of house fee and the fact I could probably be put on as a showgirl easier thus further decreasing house fee costs)... I know I can make good money at Goldies. It's a familiar environment as such for me. I'm not intimdated by it.

Then again I am not wanting to really WORK during this Melbourne trip. I'm looking at the Melbourne trip as more 'fun' than work so ... I would rather work in a less high pressure environment.

In the end, it isn't about the money this Melbourne trip. If I don't make a profit, so be it. I'm hoping I make a profit with this trip personally (if you know what I mean).

I'm working my ass off back home here so Melbourne is like a vacation for me. The work part is just so I can make some of the costs back as well as the whole trip a legitmate business deduction

I wouldnt recommend working mon or tue at the moment but wed onwards is fine and picking up.

I dont spend long with customers, I refuse to and I wish other girls would too so that it encourages spending.

The table dances can be full on. The distance rule is pretty much ignored. Ive seen pussy's right near faces!

I usually get at least one $20 dance every time I am on stage but you will rarely get just a tip - they expect a one song nude dance for $20.

I dont offer $20 private dances at all anymore. If they want one I will do one coz I have to or I might get into trouble but I never offer them.
