Default Save a horse, ride a cowboy!!

Yeah, I'm going to Montana to dance for 2-3 weeks. I'm hoping there will be plenty of cowboys to ride LOL If anyone has any tips on where to go (when I'm not at work) and how to work the Montana crowd I'd greatly appreciate it

I didn't put this in club chat because I've already done the research on the specific club, I'm just looking for more general info....

    1. You're a fresh face, so hustling will be uber simple.
    2. High-energy flirting pays off big time.
    3. Approach the women, too. They will spend, but most of the dancers ignore the female customers.
    4. Pretend to be drunk. In Montana, Drinking is the national pass-time, so even if you don't drink at work, pretending to drink is fine with these guys.
    5. Keep it real. SS can work once you've established a business relationship, but at first it will get you no where.
    6. Flashy stage shows still pay in Montana.
    7. Get paid up front for dances/ VIP. If you lose the sale by asking the customer to pay, then he likely was planning a "dine and dash" anyway. You'll get no help from the bouncers in Montana on collecting money owed for dances. I would just say "Since we are waiting for the next song to start anyway, let's take care of business. Dances are $20." VIPs are generally paid upfront anyway.
    8. Approach the Hispanic customers. They are usually ignored by the girls in Montana.
    9. If you are working in Missoula, keep a ledger of dances and stage tips. Just for your own peace of mind that the cashier/ house mom didn't get sticky fingers.
    10. The bar clocks are set 15 minutes early. Late fees start according to the time on the bar clocks.
    11. Ask for your booking bonus if you are in Missoula. I believe it is $100 after your first 3 or 4 shifts.

    In Missoula, try to visit:
    Food:
*The Shack for breakfast. It is downtown, has slow service, but the meals and coffee is definitely worth the wait.
*The Iron Horse Brewpub. Also Downtown. Awesome outdoor seating, and gourmet pub food. Try some of their microbrews like "Moose Drool". Yummy!
*The Staggering Ox sandwich shoppe. The ultimate stoner's dream of the coolest sandwiches you'll ever eat. (large vegetarian menu)

    Shopping:
*Midnight Dreams (stripper store). 'Nuff said.
    * Rockin' Rudy's. Crazy eclectic store. Part head shop, part vinyl record store, Part gift shop, part import emporium. You just have to go visit this place to see what I mean.
*Southgate Mall. All the usual suspects, Gap, Abercrombie and Fitch, Express, Victoria's Secret, Claires, Fudruckers, Dairy Queen, Macy's, Herberger's, Bath and Body works, etc.
*The Monte Dolack gallery. This is Montana art at it's quirky best. IMO.
*The Good Food Store. Local natural grocery. Locally owned but has a feel of a "Wild Oats" or "Whole Foods".

    Tanning:
*Rayz of Lite tanning.1575 Benton Ave Missoula, MT 59801 (406) 543-0205. Owned by a former dancer. This salon have a very Vegas or LA feel to it.

    Entertainment:
*Caras Park. Has "Out to Lunch" al fresco dining every Wednesday afternoon with live music acts playing. Gets national headline acts booked regularly throughout the summer and fall.
*HammerJacks. Nightclub and lounge in Downtown Missoula. Smoke free, awesome night spot.
*The Top Hat. Hippie-centric live entertainment. Very "wild West" decor.
*Buck's Club/ The Other Side. Good Ol' Fashioned redneck bar. Butt Rock music.
*The Wilma Theater (May be closed now). Art Cinema theater. Foreign and independent films.

There lots of casinos everywhere in Montana. Only on the Reservation can you play slots and other Vegas types of games like Roulette and Craps. Live poker is common everywhere.

Take your camera! Montana is so gorgeous that all you have to do is is start shooting and you'll get something awesome.

I'm the Missoula expert, but I haven't got any current information about the rest of the state, so I'll let the other ladies fill you in on that.

Have fun, and know that I am Soooooooo jealous!

Make sure you visit Glacier Park! So beautiful.

I have family in Billings and Helena; Montana is just wonderful.

Definitely on the Hispanic customers. They actually spend money in Bozeman, and plenty of it! Almost every night you'll get several construction workers who come into the club with several fifties burning through their pockets. If you speak any Spanish at all, use it. They are enormously impressed when white women in Montana say something in their language. And you don't have to hustle them at all, just offer a dance and they'll usually take it.

    The poles spin! It's fun!

This is a nice upscale laid-back version of a wanna-dance club. Visiting is nice, but when it gets busy you can just work the room selling dances. Despite what Paris said, I didn't collect up front there and I never had a problem. The bouncers sit in the booth right next to you and watch the mirror to make sure the guys don't touch, and I guess they intimidate the guys out of pulling any tricks. I always sold multiples and was paid for each one.

Go to the co-op. Great organic food, cool little cafe, live music (the sunday brunch harping is great), and free wi-fi. Plus it's where all the nice people are.

You can also pick up intermittent weak wifi in the club parking lot.

Daves Famous BBQ (or whatever it's called, something like that) made me and my friend sick. Twice. But everyone says it's great.

As long as you're in Bozeman, you might as well go see Yellowstone, if you want...

Last night was my first night dancing in MT. So far so good - the club is really nice and I like the lapdance rules. Girls can do pretty much what we want, but guys can't touch. Just the way I like it And the dressing room is HUGE

I can't wait to check out Yellowstone, gonna do that on my days off this week!

My friend is a feature and she had a booking in Three Forks at Teasers a couple months ago. I went with her and we stayed in Bozeman. I liked Downtown Bozeman for the local food and boutiques. I ate my first Bison burger there! Unfortunately, there was a huge blizzard that week AND we ran over a dead deer... but the girls I met there were all really cool.

Is there a "season" thats good in MT? Or does it get slow any time of the year? I'd love to visit Big Sky Country one day. I ride horses and would love to go rideing in the mountains.

So the song I referenced in the title of this thread sure is a hit in the club here. Of course. LOL

Anyone know of a stripper store in Bozeman?? I really don't want to drive 3 hours to Missoula for that.

^Yes, but that's expensive as fuck. Plus, there are a few things I like to wear that I don't get wholesale through the website so I still have to buy them retail. And I don't exactly have a shipping address here. Perhaps I'll find an indy mailbox store to rent a box for a month. Or perhaps I'll just make the drive to Missoula next week on my day off, and double it with some exploring.

huh. All I can remember are cute boutiques on Main, no strippery stores or even lingerie ones, but there must be some kind of adult shop there. if not, hey, we know there's a market there . . .

I think it's called Miss Kitty's It's right off Main st in Bozeman. But if you're looking for shoes, run up to Teasers. The owner there sells them for around $40.

That sounds like so much fun. A nice respite from city life in Big Sky Country. I'll bet you can even see the stars there at night.

^ Yeah, you'll see the stars. I love it. I was just there for a family reunion. My whole family is from a tiny town about an hour from Bozeman. I'm thinking about going back for a strip trip now. And Bridgette, I'd say adult shops are probably your best bet for stripper stuff. They're the only place I can normally find stripper stuff in small towns and rural areas.

There is one porn shop in downtown Bozeman, called Miss Kitty's. Evidently they were the first in the U.S. to carry the inflatable sheep love doll. It figures, LOL!

Bridgette, how long will you be in Bozeman for? I'm either leaving in an hour after some coffee, in which case I'll be there tomorrow night, or I'll leave tomorrow and be there on Wednesday. Heh. I didn't get much packing done last night and I'm debating whether it's worth it to wake up K and get started on it.

Those small town stripper stores don't have much stock. I book in Billings and just sold all the girls at Shotguns outfits, and several were complaining that the store in Missoula doesn't stock anything that the girls like. I've been to the store, but it has been several years ago. We stock over 200 outfits and travel with a rack that holds 150 outfits, plus we sell shoes, and NO small town stripper store can compete with us. At every small club I book, all the girls know that I am the person to buy costumes from.

Besides a few odds and ends you won't find much stripperwear in these rural states. One store in Billings, Big Sky Books, has a few outfits, and the store in Missoula is a little better, but as in most smaller markets, they push the girls to order from their books.

Did you bring your merchandise? If so, you should be able to sell outfits at the clubs you are booked in. If you didn't, you're missing out on some good money.

Don't compare these small towns with the big cities you are used to. It's totally different.

I order stuff from my RELIABLE vendors when I run out and have it shipped to my motel.

PM me and let me know what kind of items you are looking for and I may have them, or be able to get them from my vendors and have them sent to you.

^I haven't done club sales in a while, so no I don't have merchandise with me. It's too hard to sell and dance at the same time. If I had a travel partner like you, I would totally do it.

I want a couple bodystockings from Leg Avenue. Those are often found even in small stores because they're so cheap. I may have to break down and order some online. meh
