Default Makeup help for new hair

I jsut went from dishwater ash light brown to deep chocolatey brown. I have light green eyes. I have absolutely no idea how to do my makeup.

Does anyone know of any good sites that can guide me in the right direction. Oh, and do they still use the whole "seasons" thing? Like, I'm a winter or a spring or whatever.

    See, I'm clueless.

I am brunette with green eyes too. I usually wear colors in the plum or purple family to bring out the green in my eyes. Shades of rose with some brown are also nice. I stay away from blue.

look in some popular mags.... I like cosmo, glamour, and marie claire for things like this. but look for girls with similar coloring, and mimic their makeup

oh, and purples and blues will look excelent on you!

darker hair can handle darker makeup

red! lips look excelent with dark hair and light/bright eyes. try a blueish tinted lipstick with some sparkly golden shadows, dark liner/mascara and rosy cheeks. I <3 that look!

I definitely think darker hair can handle more fun and dramatic makeup. I would go for purples definitely, but that is the first color people put with green eyes. I would also choose grays, bronze, chocolates, blues, and copper. Oooo, yeah, if I were to do your makeup tonight, I would use Coppering from MAC, probably with Amber Lights and a touch of black at the outer v/corner. It is such a pretty copper color and I think it would be a beautiful choice for green eyes.

I've been depressed and just awful lately, so I'm going to MAC tomorrow for retail therapy

I'm a green eyed brunette as well.

I wear champagnes and bronzes for everyday.

Dusty mauves, roses, and plum shades for 'special' days.

    Other green shades for night.

I use a deep hunter green when I do smoky eyes instead of black. It looks awesome.

Check out the following link. It's a mineral shadow from fresh. It's definitely a favorite!
They only showed the trio eye shadows on the website. Look at the Corazon del mar trio. It's the middle color.

They sell the single shadow at sephora, but it looks totally different on the sephora website. The shadow is a shimmery blueish greenish peachish goldish magical colors.

In fact, anyone with green or blue eyes should go to sephora and check it out. It's totally different in person than in pictures...

I find red lips is a mistake a lot of new brunettes make. Just make sure it's the right red for your skin tone! I always see brunettes in the wrong red...most often wine on sallow skin...and it makes me upset.

Don't get me wrong, I love me a red lip...just pick the right color red!
