    Default Goodbye lovehandles

I can't believe this is working. Along with a good diet and weight training 2-3 times a week I've started running. I run 3-4 times a week and my muffin top is disappearing.

I've done elliptical, bicycling, stair stepper, revolving stairs and nothing has seemed to take them off faster than running. I'm just beginning so I do intervals of 2min speed walk/2min jog.

Theres not a huge point to this thread just wanted to share what has worked for me.

That's awesome! I have bad knees and can't run, but I love the feeling of losing weight when you finally find something that works for you.

Gah, i'm still trying to lose mine. They're still there dispite a 20lb weight loss.
I'd love to run but i'm afraid my knees would shatter into a thousand shards of arthritic calamity.

I can't run, but a 2 min. power walk and 2 min of a light jog I could do.

How long/how far are you going?

Congrats! I had the same breakthrough with my elliptical (I could run all day with no results).

It's so uplifting and motivating when you finally something that works for you.

Hubby and I have decided to start doing 20 min walks every day (thanks to Oprahs Doctor), not to mention a couple other things were starting to do. I wish I could run, I hate it so much though, lol!!!

Congrats TM, that's awesome and inspiring, keep it up!

I'm starting to see a differance from using my treadmill! I cant really run much without my asthma kicking in...but I put it on an incline and I do 10-15 minutes at 3-4 mph. I try to do it 2-3 times a day 5-6 days a week.
My butt is DEF. rounder and harder and my thighs are getting thinner!! Not much movement on the muffin-top front yet...but I am still hopeful!

I'm waiting for my doctor to say it's ok to jog again. I'm too afraid to start breaking post-op boob rules, so I'm stuck on the elliptical. And it's so true, running/jogging is so much more effective.

Congrats TM!! I run about 3-4 times a week too for about 45 minutes. It's great for my legs but I'd like to lose about 7-10 lbs so that I look smaller on film. Maybe I should start weight training like you do. I was also going to do Pilates again. Anyhow, you've inspired me to keep going. Thanks babe!

Which incline do you put it on?

TM, how long are you doing your intervals for?

I"m not sure the actual incline...but there are three settings on my treadmill...flat and two inclines..its on the middle. So it can still incline just a bit more.

I didn't so many others would be motivated too? How cool

I hated HATED running but now the 30 min goes by quick. I do 2 min fast walk then 2 min jog. The 2min jog is at a .5 incline so I can see when its over. I'm a slow runner so I go about 2 1/2 miles. Now, I'm working my way up to running longer and resting less.

I also take 6000mg of Pyruvate about 10-15 min before I run which is another big helper.

thats a fat burner right? Does it actually work? Or does it just give you energy to run?

Its something that occurs naturally in the body as part of Krebs cycle (?). It gives me tons of energy. Unlike a diet pill - its real energy. Not a bunch of caffeine and guarana. I just feel energized and awake but not jittery or shaky. The pills are giant, like horse pills, but they work.

    I use this kind.

Yeup. 6000mg tends to give me the best amount of long lasting energy through my whole cardio session. Its better than any diet pill when doing cardio. With diet pills I feel like a steam engine running out of steam.

I'm doing all kinds of different things when I work out but I cant run for some reason my hip starts hurting after a few mins and here in FLA its way too hot for me to run.
I can recommend this DVDs by Tony Horton, he will work your body out, I got tonned and lean in no time, the workouts are not easy you wont be able to do them on his level when you first start, but thats ok, just keep moving and do what you can, in no time you will improve. Here is the link, I got the 6 dvd pack so you dont get bored and work out different areas of your body. The workouts are fun, they almost 1 hour long but it goes by fast.

I'm trying this. I take Tonalin too but it seems like my body has built up a tolerance for Tonalin and I'm not getting the same results as I was when I first started taking it.

Congrats, TM!!! Running really is the best exercise overall for your body...especially lower body. It is the quickest way to lose and burn body fat so you can start with the toning of muscle. A lot of girls want to just start building muscle right away, but ya's gots to get rid of the fat first! Good for you!!!
