    Default My daughter on guitar

Like any proud mom would, I would like to share with all of you a video I was ever so fortunate in taking.

My daughter is 9 years old and she's had 8 guitar lessons so far. Last night I heard her actually playing! I stood in the hall and shed a happy tear (or two) and asked if I could video it.

The quality of light isn't great I was so excited I forgot to turn the overhead lights on lol.

    Enjoy.

Aww! I'm telling you...no matter WHAT...keep her in music lessons. As a fellow musician, I have a really strong belief that everyone should know atleast one instrument. Even if she acts like she's getting tired of it or whatever, keep encouraging her! She'll thank you later! She's already good for just 8 lessons!!!

She is good for the short time she has played. Changing chords is hard, and at first it is a big strain on your wrist. Elvis only knew three chords (those same three chords) and look where he got!

Also-strange, but when it was over and YouTube gave me two other videos to view, the first one was "GoldCoastGirl's Feet." How coincidental is that?

they must be pulling vids from my subscriptions. i added goldcoastgirl when she did the hoola hooping. I've never seen people hoola hoop like that!

Her teacher is giving them songs with just a few cords for now. But yes I was shocked at how fast she's picking it up!
