That just seems to be asking for poor posture and foot problems. :/

Just like the Dr. Scholl's sandals from the 80s! Those shoes also claimed to tone.

i wish i had those bad ass retro dr scholls

hmmm this is pretty much the same thing as my swiss masai technology sneakers, except way cheaper!
shit.

anything designed to 'destabilise' something just sounds scary to me...
i like these guys:
Doug Gurley, an orthopedic surgeon and sports-medicine specialist at the San Juan Regional Medical Center in Farmington, N.M., says he’s “highly suspicious” of the claim that destabilizing the foot has any health or fitness benefit. “It’s all marketing, no science.” And New York physical therapist Chris Delahanty described the claims for the shoes as “just ridiculous.” "Unless you've got an incredibly de-conditioned foot, nothing like this is even going to affect it," says Delahanty. “The fact that there’s increased activity could mean that you’re walking differently—it doesn’t mean that you’re strengthening the muscle. You have to exercise at a certain level for a certain amount of time to get any increased muscle strength.”
sounds like a fast way to screw your legs and feet up.

Yep. Squishy shoes = problems. I wear tough, hard-soled orthopedic shoes rather than those squishy crocs that all other nurses wear. My shoes provide support, theirs will eventually result in fallen arches and instability.
If de-stabalizing your foot tones the buns and thighs, mine would be buns of steel from wearing heels all the time for year. Even my flip-flops have a heel!

I don't understand the hesitation. I really don't.
Ya know, you gotta hand it to these marketing people. They took an uncomfortable/ difficult to walk in flipflop (de-stabilizing the foot? joy.) and made those attributes a selling point.
Gee, we made a crappy shoe? Ehh, we'll just tell em it's good for em.

...sounds just like your typical fat catty bitch who will NOT work out, but makes it a lifestyle and lifelong thing to criticize other women. Ha.
(and is stupid enuf to go THAT CRAZY about some damn shoes)
She would probably fall for the psychic custy mentioned in the other thread.
They do look kinda stylish for a medical device. Lol.
Word? I love Crocs and take pride in my "I'm so grown that I can wear ugly as sin footwear and feel good about safety and no blisters." I have the mary-jane kind tho!!!!!!!!! They are like, the only sandal type shoe I can wear (IRL of course) that don't beat up my AA feet.
You'd probably have to use them a lot to "see results". That would mean more walking than usual..... oooohhhhh.....![]()
If you think school is hard, try being stupid.
if you read the reviews on bath and bodyworks page they are almost all good. i was pretty suprised. but seeing as we run around in heels and dance a lot, i dont think it would do much for us.

I agree with I.breath.in, who knows this shoes could make a small difference. But I doubt the effects are bigger than walking around in stripper shoes would be.
