Default Botox and Restylane for the first time!

I had my first round of Botox injections for the first time today. I went in for a consultation for laser tattoo removal and looked down the menu and got carried away!

The Botox, I got around my eyes, as I don' have any other facial problems...yet. What kind of results can I expect and is it worth it?

It didn't hurt bad at all so I made another appointment in two weeks, to have restylane and perlane injections for my horrible under eye circles and begin my laser tattoo removal.

I have a small black tattoo about two inches in diameter below my belly button and I loathe it.

What kind of results can I expect?

I'm hoping it can magically disappear as if it was never there. Also, between treatments I might have to cover it up cuz, it might look funny. Suggestions for coverage?

The procedure I'm most nervous about, is the Restylane and Perlane injections. I haven't heard that much about Perlane, what exactly is it?

I can no longer tolerate or afford the amount of money I spend on creams and make up to camouflage them. I'm sick of people telling me how tired I look

I want them gone! They are that bad!

As a child I had serious allergies and asthma. Although I have grown out of it a bit, the damage to my eye area remains. I am too young to have this problem so I am beginning injections.

$600 for the the Restylane and Perlane, it lasts a minimum of six months. The Doctor said the pain isn't any worse that Botox. Is this true?

Anyone have any information on Restylane for under eye injections? Yes, I have researched all this before so I know the basics and I did a search, but I am hoping for more current experiences.

I am hoping that the Botox will miraculously solve my problems and that I won't have to go back (ha-ha)

All this was somewhat unplanned, besides the tattoo removal, so it's kind of impulsive, however, I'm now determined to do it. I'm excited and very, very nervous.

    Thanks in advance!

I would love to know more about the under eye injections. I'm going to ask my cosmetic dermatologist on Monday about them cause I already have an appointment. $600 for 6 months seems really reasonable to me. I have lines that are indented on my neck and I'm going to look into botoxing them... I'm scared it will be really expensive though. Also, I'm going to get the fraxel laser done on my nose for a pitted scar.

Yes, please, if anyone has heard anything about the filler injections for under eye circles... or botoxing of the neck, which I think is fairly new, please speak up!

I've had filler injections, but not around the eye. They really don't hurt much, I'd imagine it would be about the same pain level as botox since its another tiny needle with a bit of stuff squirting in. I've never done botox though.

Don't forget to come back and tell us about your results! I'd really like to know what works and what doesn't for under eye circles.

I forgot to mention that Botox and Restylane work well together, because the less muscle movement to the area the longer the filler lasts.

I don't notice anything different from the Botox around my eyes, yet. They do say it takes a week to ten days to show effects, so in two weeks I am getting the Restylane and Perlane under my eyes.

I will definitely let you know how it all goes. I can't wait!

Uh, when I had restylane - ouch - they numb the area first because its a larger substance than botox. I was getting my lips done and they has to put the needle in my mouth and numb each corner from the inside... maybe it hurt so much because im finnicky with needles... and the doctor was a jerk and kept leaving and he did it 3 times (the stuff kept wearing off by the time he went to put the restylane in) the third time he got irritated and jammed the needle so hard into my mouth i just started bleeding all over... I was so excited and went through all that and never got my stuff because I walked out and the b*tch nurse practically shoved me out the back door so none of the patients in the front cound see me.

But I am getting it done again - by a different doc this time... Im curious to see how much you like it.

My boyfriend has really dark shadows under his eyes - if all goes well maybe Ill recommend him to get this done too!

I looked into the under eye injections. Honestly, once I figured out how often I'd have to do it.( every 6 months at best ) for around 500-600... I decided it would be best to do just a lift and tuck for 2500 bucks which lasts 30 years.

But I am interested in hearing how to turns out though

Tried both. I waaaaay prefer perlane over restalyne. Had it only injected in my lips though.

The way I understand it, the molecules in perlane are larger, so the results are more noticeable/last longer.

A lift and a tuck, are you referring to a Blepharoplasty? Would this work for under eye discoloration?

The injections I want are more for what I have heard referred to as "allergy shiner" rather than wrinkles. Although, getting rid of the wrinkles is great too

Had to revive this thread. I have been working my ass off the past three weeks to get this done and I finally made the appointment for next Wednesday!

    I'm so nervous!

I'm getting the Restylane injected in my tear lobes and a few crows feet. The Doctor said this will hurt less than lips, because the lips are more sensitive and the injection is put right into the muscle. They will numb with a topical cream 30 minutes prior.

I'm beginning laser hair removal of my bikini...no biggy.

I decided to wait on the tattoo removal until I have a better way to camouflage it while I work.

Next I'm getting a smooth beam laser treatment for my eyelids, to tighten them up and increase collagen production. This is really scary, since they give you a numbing eye drop and I have to wear metal contacts while they perform the procedure.

I'm not sure if I should do the smooth laser or go ahead and have a Blepharoplasty. The Blepharoplasty is performed with a laser and is far more permanent (and expensive)

So, anybody ever had a Blepharoplasty and what are the results?

Update, I had the procedure done yesterday. Not bad at all. They gave me a numbing topical cream about 30 minutes before the procedure and I didn't feel a thing!

I'm kind of swollen today and a little tender but no real pain during the procedure. I had laser hair removal in my bikini area and that was easy too.

I had my eyes lasered and then, Juvederm injected into my tear troughs. I went with Juvederm rather than Restylane last minute because the reviews for that product were better.

I'll try to post pic's when the swelling goes down.

I got it done in Utah, so if you still want to know where PM me.

Botox is for the upper half of your face. Restylane for the lower. Restylane is a filler so it wont help with a wrinkle on your forhead... as far as I know...

Botox stops wrinkles by disabling the muscles that cause them.

Restylane is a filler for deeper wrinkles and folds.

Didn't want to start a new thread.

I got my Botox injections last Thursday. They are finally kicking in today (takes 4-7 days for results).
It's awesome. You can't tell that I've had anything done, but my forehead doesn't scrunch up as badly as it used to. My eyebrows still can wiggle and all expressions are normal, just no deep ravines in my forehead anymore!

Absolutely didn't hurt either and only took about 10 minutes.

^Awesome I'm glad you revived this thread 'cause I'm wanting to botox and restalyne it up for my 30th B-day this month.

So with botox, you can still raise your eyebrow at people when they say dumb stuff to you? lol I hear I do this often and it would be weird if I suddenly couldn't. lol

Yeah, my eyebrows totally move normally.

But I only got injections between them, right in the middle of my forehead.

Gimme a sec and I'll upload a pic.

^Does botox just make the muscle immobile? Or does it also pull the muscle taut so the area looks tighter?

Is that the after pic... does it work that fast? It really doesn't look like you needed it!
