I own an auto repair shop here in Connecticut, which specializes in Transmissions. Well today a customer comes in today to have his 1969 mustangs fluid changed, and also wanted me to drive the car to make sure it was running properly. When I was done driving the car, I left it in front of the shop running, so he could just get in it and go, We were in the office talking for about 5 minutes, when we noticed the car had jumped into reverse, and was headed to a busy street. We both ran after in, it was a convertible, I dove over the side of the car head first attempting to slam it into park, and also to slam on the brake pedal with my hand. The customer attempted to open the door and get in the car, well he was not running fast enough, and the door knocked him over and slammed him to the ground. Luckily the car did not run him over. We were also very lucky that no other cars were coming down the road, as he very easily could have been run over. He was transported by ambulance to the hospital to make sure he was ok. I got a few cuts on my hands and a bruised leg where the antenna jammed into my leg,
This was no the way I wanted to start my day today!!! Luckily no one was seriously hurt!
