I think what people are trying to say, is that you seem to ask the same kind of question just phrased different. A lot. I'm not saying this to be mean, but maybe you'll understand more where others are coming from.

I don't know you personally. But,most threads i've read that you've posted in the past till the present have dealt with your s.o. being a cheat, controlling etc. And it's always phrased slightly different but always the same context " should I leave him?"

There is only so many times people can be helpful before they have to either ignore it or say " do something about it or quit your bitching."

Of course people are here to support one another, but after awhile if it's the same question or same issues when the resolution to it all has been said and is so obvious it gets to be annoying to even read.

And speaking for myself here,if I know certain posters have the same shit over and over or just insane drama they don't seem to do anything about I avoid any post they make all together just to not further irritate myself, or possibly say something assholish.

I understand what you are saying and do appreciate you being forthcoming. I do, however, post just as much regarding other topics if not more than I do regarding relationships and such. I suppose the best thing to do is just take it for what it is and make the best of it.

I may not contribute much if anything to SW, but when I read a thread about someone needing support or comfort, I'm there to give a hug even when I don't know what to say. Even though I don't get the same level of support others get that doesn't mean I'm going to stop showing I care. So what if I don't matter? I'm overflowing with kindness dammit.

I go through phases where I'll read and post lots, then I get busy or distracted and don't spend much time here. This site is so big now that even if I had hours to spend every day here, I wouldn't be able to keep up anymore. So, in order to maximize my enjoyment with the time that I have here, I only read/post where I'm most content to. If that's on certain people's threads or certain areas that interest me more, then that's just how it goes. I'm sure most other people do something similar. We can't read and post in every thread/section anymore - it's just too much.

I also tend to pay more attention to posts by people who've been around here for years like I have, because well, I know several of them IRL now (or I just "know" them so well online) and it's a natural human tendency to pay more attention to people you know better. I don't think that's cliquey, I think that's just human.

I dunno what to say... I don't really see the clique.. again though from what i've heard in the past I am the leader of the clique lol

I'm sorry if that is bitchy and cliquey. I don't know what people are looking for here and am confused by the degree to which they take imaginary slights so personally. I find it dismaying.

That's right, because she was personally attacking you. I personally have noticed that she doesn't get too many responces to her post's on here and other people as well.

She wasn't pointing fingers, she was just speaking her mind.
So she had some problems in the past and a few people were JUDGEMENTAL and a few provided support. But that was a while ago.

Where did I say I thought she was "attacking" anyone? That's right, nowhere. If anything I'm accusing her of whining. She's speaking her mind, and so am I.

If you're so concerned with the number of responses to anyone on this site take your 43 posts and go answer them.

I never thought about the number of responses to my posts until now. There weren't many, but I got the answers or info that I needed to read at that time. As far as responding to posts, I only do it when I have something valuable to add or just want to give a high five. You shouldn't let the little or absence of replies to your posts make you feel somehow unacknowledged or ignored.

    Another thread about SW cliquey-ness...

No one is outing anyone on purpose, that would be childish and just pointless. Unless you know you've said something on here to turn alot of people against you, I wouldn't take it so personal. There's no way it's intentional. I post threads on here sometimes that might get only like, 3 responses. Do I care? Not really, because it just might be that no one knows how to respond. Then, I make another thread that has 4 pages worth of responses. Do I appreciate that? Of course I do, I always appreciate responses I get on here. But, I don't expect for people here to HAVE to answer my posts. I'm just very appreciative when they do.

So, you're complaining that people here find other people more interesting than they find you, and you are asking... what to do about that? Hell, I don't know. Half the threads I start are buried in 10 minutes. I just chalk it up to "well, that was obviously not an interesting topic" and move on. People don't owe it to me to act interested when they aren't. I'm actually continually impressed here at the number of people who are interested and concerned and willing to go out of their way for what is, essentially, a stranger; but I can't start feeling entitled to that.

I think I'd have to pick Quality over Quantity.

If we posted a reply to each and every post or thread we found amusing or interesting, these threads would never end! Seriously, think about it...you're scrolling through a thread, you read several posts you find amusing or thought provoking, do you comment on each one? Same thin for the threads. There are so many threads going on right now that I love to read through, and I think are extremely "entertaining" but I don't have anything to add to them....and giving a "nod" to the thread just to show the OP that I read it, well.....I just don't feel that it contributes to it. So I don't

But I don't think that's meant to make you feel as if your threads aren't worth posting in. I think maybe you're looking too hard for something that isn't there.
    Maybe.

And Rozz...... Grrrrr, you said naked.....naked and Rozz, Grrrrrrrr!!!

Speaking only for myself, I'll usually respond to a thread if I have something new to contribute - if I read a thread with more than a handful of replies and the majority of them say the same thing I would have, I don't usually post in it (the usual exceptions being celebratory or support threads).

'Sides, more often than not I end up being a thread killa anyways

Well I just looked thru the list of posts you've started lately, greenidlady, and there are like 3 with zero or one response. the other ones were responded to. I think you're getting butthurt over nothing, really.

my rules about responding to threads is simple. If I think it's gonna be a drama filled bitchfest, I avoid it .
If I think the thread has absolutely no need of one of my responses, I'll avoid it.
if I dont like the poster, I'll avoid it.

If someone doesn't use proper paragraphs for a long-winded post or uses a crazy font, I'm not going to pain my eyes reading it.

Or, if I don't have something to say/don't like the topic. I don't think people are obligated to help you with your problems. It's like tipping...it's nice when people do it, but you can't expect it, particularly in this context.

Ahaha yea if anyone uses any font other then the standard font for the forum I wont read it... same with run on sentences, crappy spelling(which is sad cuz I have horrible spelling) or no paragraphs I just skip their posts... I don't see the point in using any other font or different colours bleh...

I'd like to be the third to mention that crazy fonts and/or colored fonts drive me insane!! If I have to adjust my eyes to read someone's post, I'll usually just skip it.
