    Default Analyzing the LD

    Here's a message I got on myspace:

I have been wondering...What do you think??? The "Lap Dance" How will the lap dance go down in history? I think there is more to a good LD than meets the eye. Yes it is a money maker and it makes us guys feel good for a minute and a half but I feel that it plays a more important role in society?

Interesting point to ponder, any thoughts on this?

Haha, a bit of over-analyzing if you ask me. Funny though.
Man oh man, what a trip it's been.

I personally think the lapdance was the beginning of the end for our industry.

Granted, I didn't dance b4 lapdancing came along, but there was a time when dancers made their money from stage/conversation (?) alone.

Looks like "we" opened Pandora's box with lapdancing, and they(customers) want more and more and more. It just fueled an appetite for more sexual contact.

    The end.

I couldn't agree with you more.

I started dancing before LD's and the quality of entertainers was far better than it is now and girls could actually dance.
Over the years I've seen more and more girls get hired that would have been turned away years ago. I think all the clubs see is more $$ in their pockets.

I actually did ponder what a LD really is and it is so much more than just a sex thing.

This is why I get so frustrated when guys use the "it is such a tease" excuse.

Even with air dances it is about connecting with a fellow human being for that moment. That intimacy. Even if it isn't sexual and more about the conversation or fun (humour) ... there will be some sort of connection felt between the customer and dancer.

This is why it is so easy for people to forget it is a buisness transaction.

It's about eroticism, sensuality, sexuality and just plain being human.

This is why the lap dance will always be around in some form. It is another way of people trying to connect with their world around them.
