    Default You've hit your weight goal; now what?

    While the majority of the posts here are about loosing weight, I'd like to pose a slightly different question:

    Suppose you've accomplished your long-sought goal. What then?

    In my own case, I'm a bit less than 10lbs away from where I want to be. That'll total a loss of 40lbs over the past two years. Yikes. (Slow and steady--diet and excercise--wins the race.)

    Anyhow, this morning, the following question struck me: "When I hit this milestone, what then?"

    Here's one idea: I will make some substantial, permanent changes in my diet. I don't eat crap now, but I don't eat nearly enough fruits and veggies or lean protein (fish, for instance). Relearning how to eat well, maybe with a cooking class, seems like a good idea.

    Anybody else?

    I met my weight loss goal as well. I am currently working on flexibility and strength to tone and sculpt my body. Hope this helps.

    When I do I will workout out 3 days a week. All 3 days with weight training and 30 min of cardio to maintain. When I do finally get there I'm going back to a regular sc. Gonna make me some more money! ..and maybe buy a pole.

    Maintenance! For me it's cardio 4X per week, strenght/sculpting 2X per week, one day off. Continue eating healthy keeping in mind calories in vs. calories burned.

    Maintence...I hit my goal last year..then got lazy and just stopped. Now I;m back where I started with no motivation to try again.

    Maintence would have been so much easier...

    When I do hit my goal again, I plan on auditioning and getting hired for the 9pm shift at the Rhino. I will never work it, Idon;t like it...I just want the satisfactio of knowing I was good enough.

    Then you start getting buff and muscular Chi!! Once that happens, you can gain some weight again, all muscle of course! Me, I don't think I'd ever hit a weight goal, I can't be skinny enough. However, I love to eat too much and don't have enough of a concern about actually being as skinny as I'd ideally like to be.

    Congrats on hitting your goal..
