    Thumbs down Cellulite

Oh boo. Yanno what? Cellulite sucks. I am not huge. I am holding steady around 169-171 lbs at 6'0. Not huge, but not tiny. My measurements as of today are at 38-30-37. Just average I guess. I have a tiny tummy pudge and muffin tops. Yet what freaks me out the most is all this cellulite I have. Thighs, butt, and my sides of my torso. It looks like I'm a cow! Moo.

Anything i can do to address it? I know even super skinny girls have it, but I never had this much.

<---would like to see some responses also. I heard something about using coffee grounds as a scrub, but what I am dealing with here probably warrants something more hardcore.

Leg lifts with weights. Donkey kicks with ankle weights... yes, 'spot-reduction' is a myth, but specific muscle-targeting weight-lifting exercises DO help. and SQUATS. they hurt like hell for a reason. remember sc0101's "proud of toning up" butt/thighs? ... it IS possible.

What about the cellulite in the torso region?

^Yah! What about that! I got rid of the cellulite on the backs of my thighs pretty well, but on the side of my torso, behind my boobs and downwards, uhm...wtf is that all about?

Minimizing the appearance of cellulite was best achieved for me by losing some weight and building lean muscle. It really did wonders for a couple spots (ass, back of thighs) that really bugged me.

It isn't gone mind you but it looks a LOT better than it did.
I also increased my water intake by quite a bit.

I've been doing squats with baby in the sling pouch thing while I'm on the phone. I am already seeing a slight difference. What, may I ask is a 'donkey kick'?

Dehydration makes it worse, so drink plenty of water. Also, firm massage is believed to help to some extent, because cellulite is caused by connective tissue pulling at and therefore dimpling excess fat tissue.

    LADIES...check the threads!! Whew!!

First off, of course the excercise solution is really the best and most long-lasting. However, there is a TON of info on here about this!!

1)Tonalin CLA. There are threads and threads about it, and it seems a lot of ladies here have had good sucess with it reducing their cellulite in a big way. Check it out.
2)Dry Brushing. Pamela and I both posted about this a long time ago. Again, check the search, it should come up easily.
3)sunnie86 just posted a really cool scrub for this. There are several others back in the boonies of the BB posts.http://www.stripperweb.com/forum/sho...ight=cellulite
4)I just posted something I found yesterday that incorporates the CLA with some other supplements and explains the whys and wherefores. http://www.stripperweb.com/forum/sho...ight=cellulite

I am doing the Tonalin and Dry Brushing, and my cellulite has reduced by about 40%. I'm getting ready to add the other supplements she recs on the last post I mentioned, and I also am doing treadmill/elliptical; but not very often, honestly.
Oh, and I'm 34 with one child, three y/o.
I'm dieting, but not hard-core; just making sure I am watching my salt intake and not a whole lot of junk foods. Lots of fresh veggies and fruits.
Oh, and I am drinking lots of water WITH LEMON, freshly cut and squeezed.

Good luck..there's a lot of info out there.

^^^ Taking CLA has helped my cellulite a lot. I was skeptical at first since I don't have all that much to begin with on my thighs- but I don't seem to notice it anymore. I've been taking Trader Joes CLA supplements (6k a day) for about 3 weeks now.

I have also been eating a lot better (no junk food, more protein, less carbs) this past month and have been chugging water like crazy so perhaps that has been a factor as well.

I second exercise and water, water, water. BUT it's mostly genetics- and 90% of women have it. Some women- myself included- will always have it no matter how lean we get!

I also take Tonalin CLA (only two a day right now), dry brush, and use a cellulite gel. I also bath with Vitamin E or Olive Oil in my water. I HAVE noticed a sliiiight reduction in cellulite, but even though it's not much, my skin looks softer and feels like baby butt.

Quitting caffeine supposedly helps as well. I have it too. Mra mra mra. I do know that when I'm doing lots of weights, even if I still weigh the same, the cellulite goes down.

yeah... unfortunately- most women WILL have cellulite at any "normal" weight. For me NOT to have cellulite, I either have to have a ridiculous percentage of muscle mass, or just be way too lean... i.e. underweight. and then the cellulite turns into itty bitty stretchmarks before it goes away. But since my weight tends to fluctuate, it's hard anyway.

A 'donkey-kick' (i'm sure there's probably another name, but this is what i've heard most frequently) looks like this, and is best done with some type of resistance- ankle weights or bands...

lift leg up & down while tightening buttocks & thighs.

as for stomach.... like sirona said... it's mostly diet, cutting down on starches and unhealthy fats, increasing lean proteins & water... it's being kinda obsessive & no fun about food. and lots of cardio and crunches/yoga ball helps.

Cut out all beef and pork, my friend told me that years ago, she is a personal trainer, I didnt take her seriously till I got desperate, about the same time I started taking Tonalin CLA. I had more cellulite on me when I was 20 lbs lighter. If I eat beef now its like once every 6 months. It worked for me. I'm not perfect but I have a lot less dimpless than other girls who are thiner than me. Also as other girls posted, working out and water helps too. I think its a combination of many things but no beef or pork diet helped me.

    Weights and lot's of water!!

After my surgery, I noticed more cellulite because I was eating crap and drinking lot's of sugary stuff. Once I cut that out and got back to the gym, the cellulite slowly started dissapearing. It's still there, but there's a lot less now.

Embyr, is it wrong that the first thing I thought of when you mentioned Donkey Kicks was actually a "Donkey Punch"? Not sure what that'd tone . . .

I vote 'yea' on CLA as well; I actually can detect a difference in texture. I think for best results, obviously, nutrition & exercise & water are just as important, though. Adding CLA while eating junk & laying around probably wouldn't do much of anything, but we all know that much.

God, how I wish that worked...

I've been veg/semi-veg (occasional sushi) for over a year now without a damn bit of difference in the dimples... in fact I think it got worse! I'm sure not just because of my diet though.

I noticed myself getting some cellulite at the top of my legs near my butt a few years ago and I started drinking more water, reduced my carbonated soda drinks and tried not to eat foods with too much fat or salt. I seriously dont have ANY cellulite anymore. I also do weights and lots and lots of lunges and squats.

stay away from refined foods and fat inclusive dairy. I personally cannot live without milk so I opt for the fat free which supples 8 g's of protien per glass...

also, massage your trouble spots daily as this will help disburse the fat hiding the cellulite chunks...remember that most women fat or skinny have cellulite so don't obsess over it!
