    Default Portland's "Dancing Bare"

    Hi ladies,

I am a PSO (phone sex operator) and fetish model from Portland, OR looking into stripping....basically because I want to make more money in less time. Right now I work 40 hour weeks and make about $20/hour when it all evens out, but am thinking I could make the same amount of money in 20 hours of stripping and not have my whole life be my job! (working out of home makes it a little tough to clock out, It would be nice to go somewhere, and then when I leave I leave work there!)

I LOVE LOVE strip clubs and have several friends who are dancers at Magic Gardens, Mary's and Devils Point....

Last night I went to "Dancing Bare" for the first time and really liked the low key setup, the girls seemed to make a lot more on stage than Union Jack's or DP...and they are hiring.

Just wondering if anyone has reviews of Dancing Bare or works there? Any tips for my audition? I've only done still shoots in stilettos, I'm a bit nervous about dancing. Is it realistic to want to make $200 in a 5 hour night?

I've never been to dancing bare, but when I first started out a month ago in portland before I got the hang of things (it's different here...) 200+ a shift was definitely do-able. I worked 6 hour shifts though, not 5.

Definitely check it out. I've never been and I've heard it's a dive, but if girls are making money, than who cares. Go for it!

thanks ladies for your quick responses! I'm gonna audition on Mon and see how it goes, if I don't make enough I just won't go back...

Yep it's a total dive that's why I'd never been there before, and the DJ is realllyy annoying, but I was shocked they have two really big stages and there seemed to be a LOT of guys throwing down $ for a weds at 8PM, girls were making at least $20 a dance....maybe this was cuz Me and my girls were up there on the rails, who knows LOL

I also liked that there were a few "alterna" girls there, I have tats and piercings so I think I could fit in there while still being hotter than 80% of the girls there...which is the way to pull in that $, right?

anyone else who has danced at "dancing bare" I would love to hear a review

I have a buddy who works there and says she likes it. 200 a shift is definitely doable, because I often make more than that at Nicolai (a stage only club where there are no dances). Good luck on your audition, and let us know how it goes.

I always recommend giving a club at least a week or two. It can be hard, but usually you'll see your money go up after the first few weeks, if not then for sure move on.

Let us know how it goes!

oh ya, and definitely use your PSO skills! Guys eat that stuff up, but lots of us aren't good at it, so be sure to add to the Hustle Hut if you learn any good techniques!

I work at the bare and really enjoy it. You will find a wide range of dancers, most of which are very mellow and nice. making 200 there is definately do able. however be prepared to work hard on stage for your money. I have noticed that customers are less into table dances than at other clubs I have worked. You may get five no's before someone accepts. Also, the dances are performed in the back of the club with little (or no) privacy. This sucks at night when a D.J. is working because the table dance area is right next to the D.J. booth. the D.J. can literally see everything. Sorry to seem negative, there are customers willing to do dances... it's just a matter of discovering them. they are very serious about no contact (which suites me fine). the management is a pleasure to work for and respects the dancers. Good luck, I hope to see you there!

P.S. consider the day shifts. No stage fee (normally 10 bucks). No D.J. hovering over your table dances (and no D.J. to tip out). You also get a free meal during the day shift. there are less girls on shift which can make it a little easier in my opinion, to make money. It's not really a "night" club. Hope this helps
