Default Good tools for a mani/pedi?

I've decided to bring my own equipment to the nail salon. What should I get? What are reputable brands?

You should be able to pick up the files, pumices, etc. at Sally Beauty Supply.

The also carry Tweezerman--good clippers. Diamancel supposedly makes the best foot file, but they're spendy...I'm pretty sure Sephora carries those.

Tweezerman is the best! And it's great that you can get their stuff at most cvs's and drugstores.

They're supposed to, but many news reports have shown plenty of them are not careful and meticulous about it. We have a nail salon here where you buy your own set of tools for about $10 and they can keep them there for you (or you can take em home) so they are always used only on you. They also sanitize them for you.

Of course, they are more expensive than your regular old nail salon.
