    Default Lunch Buffets & Hustling?

How does hustling work when you work at a club where they have a lunch buffet? I worked last friday, where they had buffet and I didn't ever know when was the correct time to approach.

So for you ladies that work/have worked at a club that offers fine dining how does your hustle flow? I mean, i don't wanna approach guys while they are eating their meal...so when is it best?

I worked at a club that served a full menu. The bouncers would see these guys sitting with no girls, and they woudl make us go over to them. It was very uncomfortable to walk up to a table eating and try to strike up a conversation. It's not like you can ask if they want a dance....

So I would walk up to the table, introduce myself all around, ask if they were enjoying their dinners, and then say, Well..I'll leave you to your meal. When your finished, I'll come back so you can have desert.

Then I would just watch the table, and when their plates had been cleared, I woudl go back and sit down and strike up a conversation. I wouldn't ask to dance right away, I figured they would want time to let the food settle. So after a few minutes, then ask if they are ready for their desert.

    Anyway....that's what I did.

The day/lunch hustle is all about timing -- you have to say hi before they get lunch, then come back by as soon as the food is gone to sell that "dessert" dance. move around quickly, chat a little with everyone, and sell dances both before and after they eat. There will always be guys "just there to eat," but also plenty who eat lunch at a strip club for a reason.

Day shifts can be really great if you can get that hustle down -- there's usually a two-hour lunch rush, then it's dead, then the happy hour/after work crowd comes in. I really miss living in a place with good day shifts.

^^That is exactly how I've noticed it. I watch to see who's done with their food, and who's focusing on the beer. During the lunch rush, you need to have a faster hustle because the guys who want dances at that time usually want to fit them in before going back to work. So don't sit for more than two songs.

    Then chill from 2pm-4pm, usually.

Then dinner rush, repeat. There's a club in town where I can usually pull 3-6 hundred on a day shift like this. Not bad. My problem with days has to do with the lack of enforced contact rules, and my worry of getting busted. But if you find a club close to lots of businesses, it can be worthwhile.

However. I also worked at a place that was dead as a graveyard during the day, but it had an awsome free buffet. You wouldn't believe all the guys who came in for the free food with their beer, and then ran off straight afterward. EVERY DAY. The Quebec man's happy hour. It was annoying when they'd say "ah non, no dances, just for dinner and beer, merci". Argh.

Sit down at the table, all casual, and say: "You gonna eat that?"

I'm being silly. My club used to sell food, cheap stuff like hot dogs. They stank up the place, and nobody ate them anyway. I could never approach someone who's eating. Even with that dessert line.

I used to work in Houston during lunch, and also in Fargo. Guys aren't going to buy from you when they are eating. I wait until they have eaten to approach them. Sometimes in Houston guys whom I was talking to would prepare to eat and invite me to eat with them. I usually made decent money off of these guys.

Omg Molly, I couldn't have said it better myself.

Alot of dancers will go out and try a day shift downtown with high hopes because of the 'free buffet', but encounter dissapointment, because they realize that all they do it get a beer, free buffet, free show= and run. Its a bit unfortunate. However, usually the girls that work the day shift exclusively only make their money from the regulars that they have danced for for a long time.

Then again, I have the rare, successful afternoon during the buffet.
But usually, I will approach right before getting food, and test the waters to see if it would be worthwhile for me to come back once they are done.
