    Well, it is that time for me. Time to start my exercise/nutrition program! Some of you have inquired about the P90X program I do and have asked questions about it. For those people who haven't heard of it, I will go into a little explanation.

    The program comes with your nutrition plan and exercise plan. It tells you how much to eat based on what weight level you are in (I'm a level 1.) It also tells you exactly what to do for exercise every day. As the name states, it is 90 days long, divided into 3 phases. Each phase is 4 weeks long and consists of 3 weeks of intense workout followed by a 4th rest week. This idea doesn't change throughout the phases, but your diet and exercise does. This confuses the muscles and you get optimum results. You never fall into a 'rut' or reach a 'plateau.'

    So, I have already been through the program once, in the spring. I have gained at least 5 pounds over the summer and have been fairly sedentary. I thought it was about time I start another 90 days. I thought I would share my thoughts, insight and journey through a blog. I know people here might benefit from reading about a program that works and they might shed their ideas of what a 'diet' is suppose to be.

    On that note, I started the blog with an entry about the food I will be eating for the first phase. I broke it down like the program does. I began eating this way all this week so I am use to it before I actually start the 90 days. I will post each day to record my food intake and the exercise I did.     but
    I read what you will be eating in Phase 1 and you might want to increase your servings of fruits/vegetables and complex carbohydrates. High protein diets have many long term, negative impacts on health. If your body is not receiving enough glucose from carbohydrates it will convert the protein into a less effective glucose to try and provide enough energy for brain/nerve functioning.

    I posted before about Tony Hortons programs, I never got the P90X, I have his other DVD program that comes in a set of 6, its called Power90 Master Series, its not as hard as P90X but still very good. This guy really works you out and its fun too, I use the tapes when I dont feel like going to the gym to mix things up. Good luck with your plan.

    Thanks for the support everyone!!

    I'm just finishing my second week of exercise... and let me tell you, its hard work! But, I am all for it. I haven't felt this good in a long time, and I'm really excited to start seeing some physical results. I keep looking in mirrors to see some changes, but I have to remind myself, its only been 2 weeks! My bf says he can tell that I'm a lot more fit, which I can agree with. I notice tighter muscles and not so much flab... I want no flab! Haha. I'm still excited and haven't lost my momentum... We'll see how hard it is when classes start next week! I've been crazy busy trying to create a schedule to go by. I seem to do well when I am on a structured daily routine. Well, I'm off to exercise... its Legs & Back day


    Oh, and I'll make sure to post my 30 day pictures for all of you ladies!

    omg,

    i ordered it....and it truely kicked my ass.....but for some reason, i just couldn't stick with it.....i think it's more of a self esteem issue with me, or the fact that i'm lazy.....but i will get on a kick with some other gals if anyone's up to it....

    starting tomorrow....P90X Lean....again.....lol

    I ordered this and can't WAIT to start. I'm a 24 yr old dude, 5' 11" 150 lbs. Fairly skinny yet I think this will help build upper body as well as get rid of my gut! I'll post before and after pics in 90 days!!
    Man oh man, what a trip it's been.
