Well, it is that time for me. Time to start my exercise/nutrition program! Some of you have inquired about the P90X program I do and have asked questions about it. For those people who haven't heard of it, I will go into a little explanation.
The program comes with your nutrition plan and exercise plan. It tells you how much to eat based on what weight level you are in (I'm a level 1.) It also tells you exactly what to do for exercise every day. As the name states, it is 90 days long, divided into 3 phases. Each phase is 4 weeks long and consists of 3 weeks of intense workout followed by a 4th rest week. This idea doesn't change throughout the phases, but your diet and exercise does. This confuses the muscles and you get optimum results. You never fall into a 'rut' or reach a 'plateau.'
So, I have already been through the program once, in the spring. I have gained at least 5 pounds over the summer and have been fairly sedentary. I thought it was about time I start another 90 days. I thought I would share my thoughts, insight and journey through a blog. I know people here might benefit from reading about a program that works and they might shed their ideas of what a 'diet' is suppose to be.
On that note, I started the blog with an entry about the food I will be eating for the first phase. I broke it down like the program does. I began eating this way all this week so I am use to it before I actually start the 90 days. I will post each day to record my food intake and the exercise I did.
