    Default Buy my ink???

So I had a relatively good night last night (*very good by the standards of this new place) all thanks to one guy... totally nice fellow, down to earth, funny, smart, etc... and he got HOOKed. We got champagne, a bunch of dances, he was a lovely tipper on stage, etc... and we talked for hours.

As it turns out, he is an avid reader, and when we got on the subject of tattoos (looking at all the dancers and remarking on ink) I explained to him the "library" backpiece tattoo I am getting in February/March, by Tom Berg (his work is on Prison Break, Red Dragon, etc...) , and he LOVED the idea... and wants to buy it for me. (It's a stack of books down my spine with a girl in petticoats on a wrought iron ladder reaching to take a book out from the middle.) We agreed to meet at the club again this Tuesday, and I plan to call him about it (probably from a pay-phone or something) beforehand.

I have already saved for this tat, but honestly, at 2400, I would LOVE to put the $$ into savings instead of using it for ink... what do you think?? He wasn't expecting anything in return, perhaps an outing or two (totally doable in my book), NO sex or anything physical, and he said he'd give me the $$ straight out... as in, I wouldn't have to wait until Feb/March of the 'inking' dates. If he still stands by his word come Tuesday, should I do it???

If he's willing to pay for it than take him up on the offer. It's not like he can take the tattoo back if things get weird.

*freaks out* EEEEP i really don't feel like being someone's 'second skin...'

i don't think he's like that. other than my ex (bad mistake) i consider myself a pretty fair judge of character, even in the SC, and this guy seemed both sweet and legit.

susan- you make a good point about 'no refunds.' it's not like something material- a little too permanent!

i wouldn't do anything that involves going out with a customer OTC, even if he promised he "didn't want sex".

that being said ...... if you feel comfortable doing it, go for it. just be carefull.

Good call- yes, I will definitely be SUPER careful... it IS easier to consider opportunities like this without any romantic attachments that might oppose it, but nonetheless, I will be cautious for myself and obviously not make promises I don't intend to keep/come through on.

I'm probably going to do something like, "I'm happy to hang out once or twice and have some fun with you (emotionally justifying things for him) but I'd prefer to keep our relationship ITC." Hopefully he'll respect this and understand.

i dont think it's really unsafe. meet for lunch a few times or something. always meet him, don't go home afterwards so he couldnt follow you or anything, and then if you want to stop, tell him that it's the club's fault, you can't anymore, not yours. say it's against the rules or something. you could also meet for dinner or something before work, so you're on your way to work anyway, and then hey why doesnt he stop by?

i'm going to change my 100% "i wouldn't" and say this:

your situation is perhaps one of the only ones that has even a very slim chance of getting me OTC. i still doubt i'd do it, but if the customer could convince me he knew i wasn't going to date him, have sex with him, he didn't give me any bad vibes, etc. ................ and he wanted to buy me any of the 6 tattoos i have planned out (esp the most expensive one..prolly about same price as yours)

    i *might* do it.

i wouldn't want him to come with me when i got it though. that's too personal for some reason. i'm weird about people seeing me in a state of pain.

I'd be worried that every time I saw my tat in the mirror I'd be reminded of a customer. For the rest of my life. But if you don't think like that, go for it.

^^^ now THAT is the only thing actually holding me back, even the slightest bit. having already set aside the $$, would it be weird??? i think as long as he didn't go with me.... and i had other friends to share the experience with, then he could be my "ink benefactor" but wouldn't have to be part of the entire experience. that way, seeing the tat wouldn't just bring him up in my head.

it would also be important for me to have him STAY at this club... no touch, bikini/topless.... and NOT transfer to my nude/contact club. If I had a tat sponsored by some guy who had tried to grope the shit outta me, I couldn't do it.

My honest opinion? It sounds like something that is very special to you. If it were me, allowing a customer to be a part of that would taint it. Especially if the relationship ever went sour.

However, it is a very generous offer. Maybe you could get him to spend it on you in some other way?

OR you can use your money to buy that tat put his money in the bank and tell him you used his money that way the tat is all yours the bank gets plumper and everyone is happy.

the 1 or two outings just make sure they are in overly crouded places and bring a friend or two that way he understands its not that kinda outing

Totally agree cuz I could just imagine this on Judge Judy.

"Did he "loan" you $2400 for a tattoo? oh, u expect me to believe it wasn't a loan?!?!"

... ????? i don't understand?? if I used MY money for the tattoo and knew that his "contribution" was going towards other purposes... it wouldn't taint the tattoo at all.

the "loan" reference.... could you please explain it?? you mean the guy wanted the $$ back, right??? Umm, I don't think this guy is illigitimate... nor catty, nor pouty, nor the type that would ask for $ back that in HIS mind is obviously "already gone...." as in, invested in my backpiece. The fact that the $ would simply be replacing in my savings what isn't there because of the tat seems irrelevant to me. The amount is the same, but I pay with MY tattoo fund. Untainted money.

good, go for it! that's a lot of practically free cash, and if he wants to give it to you, who are you to be so harsh as to refuse!

Just a typo, my bad. I was thinking of how on those t.v. court shows people give people money, then they sue when it doesn't work out how they thought, and claim it was just a loan, etc.

Was just being light E, no offense intended

Such a good idea. You will still have your tattoo because you're good at saving your money. And on top of that, this guy will finance part of your savings. You could get a $1000 cd or a government bond or something to commemorate the gift from him and help you separate the two experiences in your mind. Heh. I know they really don't pay out as investments, but hey, it's like a cash gift that way. I'd be ecstatic.

update- this is not happening- Latinarose was right- the emotional association would be too strong and would ruin the tattoo i've been dreaming about and saving for. much better to leave stripping and customers out of this tat. it has nothing to do with that part of my life anyway (and will be there long after I stop dancing!) so better to separate the two. I'd be in denial if I thought I could let this happen and not think anything of it. Thanks everyone for your advice- it showed me the best course of action.

^^Maybe you could ask him to spring for a professional photo shoot featuring the tat once it's done?? Or maybe it's best he has absolutely nothing to do with it. Either way, I'm happy you've come to a decision you are comfortable with.
