Default Sapphire lv opening club in NYC

Just got this in my email:

    Sapphire Gentlemen’s Club: NYC”
Men of New York are about to get lucky. In April 2008, New Yorkers will hit the jack pot with the opening of Las Vegas’ own Sapphire Gentlemen’s Club. Known as “The World’s Largest Gentlemen’s Club,” and luring rock stars and athletes to executives and politicians, Sapphire Gentlemen’s Club will now mark its territory on the East Coast in Chelsea.
Sapphire NYC will make its mark on the city that never sleeps, catering to every red-blooded American man and woman with this original one-stop shop concept for pleasure. Sapphire Gentlemen’s Club in New York is set to be a 10,000 square foot mecca of arousing adult entertainment $30 million dollars and located in Chelsea.
Bigger is always better when it comes to the expansion of Sapphire Gentlemen’s Club. Managing partner Peter Feinstein states, "We look forward to establishing our sister club on the east coast and know it will be very successful. It will enhance the overall image of Sapphire on both a nationwide and global level." Best known as the "The Ritz Carlton of Gentlemen's Club," and rated "The Best of Las Vegas, 2007", Sapphire has proven to be a place where adult entertainment merges with an aura of high-class elegance. The sophistication, coupled with a global and fiercely loyal client base, has positioned Sapphire at the forefront of the adult entertainment industry, priming the club for extensive growth and development opportunities.
The original Sapphire Gentlemen’s Club in Vegas sets the standard—boasting an impressive 70,000 square feet of enjoyment with 300 entertainers on a nightly basis. Sapphire NYC will showcase the same extravagant style and commitment to over-the-top entertainment. In addition to the classic gentlemen’s club, steakhouse, and boutique hotel, Sapphire NYCoffers deluxe amenities including designer suites with private butlers, concierge services and varying themes to satisfy every indulgence. The April 2008 grand opening of Sapphire NYC will turn heads with an unforgettable star-studded event. Full disclosure of all party details will be revealed soon—Sapphire, like any gorgeous woman, likes to keep ‘em waiting and wanting more.

As we have discussed many times before, New York is saturated with "top end" clubs without the customers to go around. This will actually serve to prove the raspberry jam theory of strip clubs: "The more you spread them, the thinner it gets"

Oh goodie..... they should just start building clubs on top of one another... Sounds like it might be where the Privilege club was.

I very much doubt they'll be bringing new meaning to the term "room service". On the contrary. It will probably be wildly overpriced and they'll most likely be totally up the guests asses about inter alia, "guests" in their rooms. In other words, they'll be bending over backwards to AVOID any implications that their little hotel is a (GASP !) "place of assignation ".

I'm excited for Sapphire coming to NYC. Hopefully those big money NYers will now become familiar with the name and will opt to come to the one in vegas instead of just going to rhino.

You didn't read the article, did you ? It's uncertain whether they'll ever get going in NYC.

If it's anything like Vegas, which I assume it will be..

Vegas's Sapphire has the most expensive drink prices in town. rediculously high. They just raised their housefees, they are highest in town.

Meanwhile,. Sapphrie has the same fucking furniture they had when they opened 5 years ago. The chairs are threadbare and falling apart, they need new poles. they are not very sturdy and the brass is all worn off. Have they fixed the crack in the glass stage yet? They have a high glass stage. Very high. it has been cracked for months. meanwhile, we dance on it with the crack. Last time I was there they finally put duck tape over it.

The owners are very money hungry greedy bastards, but they refuse to put money back into the club. They used to have mixers and promotional events and fun stuff going on, but that hasn' happened in years. They just keep sucking money but never reinvesting it.

The bathroom attendant has these tacky ass signs all over every single product that says " NOT FREE I work for TIPS. Gratuity appriciated."
I knwo that's not really the clubs doing, but those signs are soo damn tacky why they don't get rid of her? Or atleast tell her to limit her signs. itlooks dumb as hell to have them posted all over every single thing she has in the bathroom.

I used to love workign at that club, it was my main club for over 3 years I was loyal. Now I get sick to even go in there.

I don't know if I'm correct on this or not, but I'm pretty sure one of the new owners of the club used to be a floor host here at PEC. If this info is true, then there is a good chance that the club has potential to be successful. The guy I am speaking of is SMART and has a MILLION high-power, big spending customers. Not to mention, the guy is personalble, likeable, nice, and yet- a little bit of a goomba. I really like him, and wish him all the best.

I totally want to check out the new spot!

Ima have to threadjack for a hot second.

Why don't NYC clubs get it? The ultra-luxury, gowns, smoke/mirror, high price-VIP type clubs are tiiiiired!

Has anyone thought that maybe, just MAYBE, Manhattan men want to go to a strip club and have a good time, rather than to sit and be pretentious?

Why not create a club that embraces "having fun" rather than "spending cash"?

I mean, sure, Bergdorf Goodman, being the ultra-luxe store that it is, makes cash. It's good to have one Bergdorf Goodman in a town, ya know. I think PEC should exist, but why does every other club have to mimic the model?

What about a Walmart? A place that can be fun, has a variety of items, and that you can shop at more than once a year...

I just think that the times, they are a-changing. And even the wealthy white collar financial demographic of men with money to blow want to go to a club that isn't uptight.

Let's see more poles, bikinis, and bodytypes in NYC. In a setting that is clean, fun, and accessible.

    Ya listening, Sapphire folk?????

    They have places like that:

    Flashdancers
    Private Eyes
    Hustler
    Ten's
    VIP
    Lace

And PS, I don't know if you are familiar with Manhattan or not, but no entertainer wants to work at Wal-Mart prices. Girls want to make the big bucks, and to do that, you have to work at a place that allows the girls to make that kind of dough. I have yet to meet an entertainer who says to me, "I LOVE working at Lace and coming home with $80."

And, in comparison, if you look at all the hot spot NYC bars, clubs, lounges and restaurants, they ALL are attempting to go for the high-class, big spending customer. If you want something that's a root-tootin' time, you'll have to hit an Irish Pub or Hogs and Heffers. It's Manhattan. It is what it is, if you want something different, go to Jersey.

I'm not trying to jump down your throat, it's just that I am tired of girls making this comment. The trend now, is luxurious high priced everything (and I'm talking about all NYC, Vegas, Miami venues). I agree that it is too expensive, but that is what is attracting people- the exclusiveness, the luxury, the attentiveness, VIP treatment, etc. I also agree that drink prices are absorbant on all levels (unfortunately for me, I don't own any clubs and therefore can't change that).

And by the way, Wal-Mart is the WORST. Did you have to pick the biggest white-trash shopping center to compare a strip club too? I mean, it's a redneck paradise.
If you told me that :
Bergdorff is to High-End Strip Clubs
    as
Wal-Mart is to Mid-Range Strip Clubs
Dude, I'd be scared to go to the Wal-Mart strip club (I think of Bada Bing's... BARF)

At least go apples to apples- like, Target would have been a LITTLE better for comparison purposes.
