Default Isolabella and the Techno Gurus

I know I'm going way way waaaayy out on a limb with this one.

The track I'm trying to find: 1992'ish techno right along the lines of early Prodigy, Wishdokta, Praga Kahn, The Movement, and 2 Unlimited although it didn't share the mainstream popularity of the later.

Ok don't laugh now, the only words are one single phrase sung by a a woman and I'm going to try to convey it with type. Please don't laugh I'm seriously trying to find this.

"Nah-nee oh nah nah, oh nah nah, nah-nee oh nah nah, ooohhh nah nah"

She sorta pauses on the comas but not long. It's sung as one entire phrase and repeated throughout the track.

==the "Nah" is pronounced the same as it would sound in "nah-nee nah-nee boo boo"==

Sorta sounds like an older white woman's voice if I remember correctly sheesh this is embarrassing, I don't remember the beat at all. I'm fairly sure it was like 140bpm techno.

That is the darn best I can do and let me tell you how retarded I feel asking you guys. Scratching my head when customers try to sing painful renditions of their favorite song and here I am pulling the same crap ha.

I've been hit in the head a lot and I go through these strange spells of randomly remembering a song (out of the blue) that I used to spin ancient history ago and I can't rest until I find them.

    Thanks in advance

I just sang the "nah-nee" part out loud. My daughter looked at me very strangely. It sounds vaguely familiar, you know, like I'll know EXACTLY what it is...once someone else mentions it.

The only thing that comes to mind is a remix of Crystal Waters' Gypsy Woman (She's Homeless) circa 1990/1991. There are soooo many remixes of that featuring the la da di part. I'll ask the bf, he's a few years older.

No it was much more underground than those. The more I've been searching old techno resources for it the more intriguing it is.

It was during the era of Usura - Open Your Mind, Prodigy - Out of Space, SmartEs - Sesame's Treat, Human Resource - Dominator, Digital Orgasm - Running Out of Time, Alpha Team - Speed Racer, EON - Basket Case.

It was a techno/rave/breakbeat track not a mainstream club dance hit at all, maybe in the underground clubs but not Top 40 stuff at the time. I've been reading all the old charts from back then and unfortunately nothing is ringing a bell.

I do remember hearing that woman's vocal hook mixed over every other song during raves and mix shows back then, that hook got around more than Paris Hilton on a wicked coke binge.

(Maimed you are bringing back the memories. Yvonne Monet was just a random groupie dj jocking Randy Easterling before she became a famous radio personality or at least that was the rumor mill at DDK record pool. God I had the biggest crush on her friend the other girl who spun back then and dated Randy after Yvonne got into radio if my memory serves me. She was even nicer than Yvonne and was so darn hot god I had the stupidest crush on her.)

    LA Style - I'm Raving

It's kinda hard to find...I have a TAPE of it still, isn't that funny???

Click here, fast forward to about 50secs.....they added about a minute of a remake of it, so you can decide if that's the song.

PS I tried to look up the Da Klubb King version, but I can't find it, but my guess is that you're looking for LA Style.....that's the original as far as I know.

Haha I'm listening to that right now and I almost put the very end of it up here as a sound byte but thought I'd be beating a dead horse. That is the song that reminded me of that old track.

N.U.K.E. - Nana (I'm pretty sure at this point) is the original song that the ladies hook was taken from for both of those songs. Now if I could just find this sucker I will be able to get some work done around here
