    Default Ladies with Fair Skin

I've been dancing about 1 year and a half, and tend to wear a lot of black. But I'm very pale, and have dark hair and dark eyes, so on stage, I look very, very pale! It hasn't really effected my money (I don't think...)

At any rate, I'm wondering what colors you girls gravitate towards, I need to buy some new dancewear, and want to break out of the black nitch.

I have a white outfit that I love, and it looks pretty good I think, but I need more then just black and white...

Maybe a pale pink/blue? I like red, but it doesn't look quite right in the club, either.

I like to wear black. I know it's supposed to be boring or whatever, but I like the way my fair skin looks with black outfits, and I think it makes me look thinner and blonder while drawing more attention to my face. I want people to notice me, not my outfit, you know? But when I don't wear black, I like to wear red or blue. They look great with fair skin and blue really brings out my eyes.

I agree with Yek that I love black. It detracts from my love handles and
slims me. I'd wear it all the time if I could.

However, dark hair is a bit of a different story. I went from blonde to black recently and my favorite black dress now makes me look a little too Morticia for my current club. Besides that I'm super pale and have grey/blue eyes. I can't bring myself to wear neon or baby pink/blue colors. Its just not me. I've been gravitating toward jewel tones lately though and I think they look really flattering on light skin. Sapphire/Emerald colors have become my favorite.

I think white looks really hot with dark hair but I don't like the way it looks against my super fair skin. Its not enough contrast for me.

i have super super pale skin (with goldish undertones) and red hair

    i wear

    olive greens or lime greens
    black
light blue (looks great with my hair, since my hair is on the orange-red side)
golds look fantastic on me. (the darker more bronze kinds. not the yellow golds.)

i stay away from pink because of my hair, but i also stay away from yellows and oranges because of my skin tone.

i wear white a lot... but mostly just because it glows and most of the "colors" that glow look terrible on me.. pink, yellow, etc..

Royal blue. That deep rich blue color.

Red. You could do a pinup sort of look, with the red nails and matte red lips. That look is very hot right now.

Purple or any of the deep jewel tones. I have fair skin and find that most anything light makes me look very washed out.

Tan or what is called a buckskin color, that would really play up your dark hair and dark eyes.

PS: Purple is very good for bringing out brown or dark eyes, so you could wear most any of that family of colors and look stunning.

^I like pink too, but I always end up buying a pink that turns orange in the black light

Thanks for all the replies so far, in a tanned world, I'm often the palest person in the club/at the party/ wherever.

Perhaps you could look to Dita Von Teese for inspiration, she is very pale and very dark but always looks sexy and glamourous.

A tan has nothing to do with what colors you can wear, its all about how you feel in that color. I really feel that too many women in the world obsess with having that perfect tan. I call it tanorexia.

Personally I like Navy or Royal Blue on pale skin.

    Good luck to you!

If you're pale and want to look tanned without tanning, wear anything that glows in the blacklight.

I'm pale but I'm olive skinned... so some stuff that pinker-skinned folks wear looks odd on me. I avoid yellows and most pinks... oranges and very yellowish greens.

I like reds, dark & neon greens, white, purples, and dark blues on me. If I do try pinks, I prefer severely pale pinks.

You should try an emerald or forest green. Really any deeper green I think looks really nice against pale skin.

Chocolate brown looks fantastic against pale skin, as does mauve (dusty pink).

This might be ignoring the issue, but I would also think that if you wanted, you could always go get an airbrush tan for a week and do that look once in a while, just for variety. Best of both worlds that way.

I just look weird tanned, but I am definitely going to try out some of these color ideas, thank you very much girls!

I really like the green and blue ideas, and need to find a good costume maker now to actually buy some items.

try something in a plum, burgundy or wine color--not only does it set off fair skin nicely, but it's also a color most girls never think of, so you'll stand out more.

I agree with Crow's suggestions on red, purple and dark blue for fair skinned girls. Also dark green. Black is good but make sure you are wearing enough blush and lipstick (and preferably rhinestone jewelry for added sparkle) so you don't look too washed out. I think white would be too close to your skin tone and you won't stand out enough in the club lights although it may look good on you in regular lights. (And the same goes for pastel colors which are similar to white).
