    Default Hustling from the stage.

I am in Oregon. I am starting to not like it. It's really hard for me to get dances from the stage. Here is what I do. Between the hours of 7-10, the racks really aren't that full, maybe 2-3 guys at most. I go on, dance dance dance, and then do my tipwalk and ask every one of them if they'd like a dance. Usually they say no, maybe later, or sure let's go. So I have a 1/3 chance of getting a dance each time I go up between the hours of 7-10. That's 3 dances , 60 dollars in my bag at 10pm + tips. As the night goes on, the tip rack fills up a little more, but still, I get maybe 1-2 guys who want dances, and by that time I'm going up on stage and running around a lot, the managers yell at me when I go through the crowd to find the guy who said yes to me... it's ridiculous. What am I supposed to do when I get 3-4 yes's when I'm not even allowed to be on the floor? Have them form a line at the couch dance area? These minor laws are ridiculous. I'm making consistently 350/night, regardless of what day it is, simply because of the setup of the club. I'm not complaining about the money, it's definitely good money but I know I could do better, and it's frustrating because I lose so many dances to other girls because I can usually only get a dance from the guy I asked first because the other ones that said yes are impatient and forget about it, and the other girls who can work the floor take them, or they're stuck at the tip rack. GRRRRR.

So.... I'm thinking of switching to a more stage oriented club, a girl at D2 told me about Club 205, and said you're on stage 3 songs, off 3 songs, all night. That sounds more ideal for many reasons. First, I would much rather be on stage than do a couch dance, I don't like contact at all. Second, it's closer to my house. Third, I want to become a better stage performer. Fourth, I want a better work out! Does anyone know anything about this club?

Feel free to move this to club chat, it's sort of a hybrid stripping/hustlehut/club chat post, but where ever you see fit is fine.

I have never worked a full shift at 205, so I couldn't tell you much about the club, but I have talked to two girls in the past week that work there or used to work there. You have to book through Rock Star, and that's a pain in the ass but it might work out for you. Right now 205 is their "good" club. The bookers will tell you that it's the best club in Portland, hold shifts over your head, try to get you to work at the other shitty clubs they book, etc. I've also heard stories about how Steve (who is like the Wizard of Oz to me because I've never seen him), the main guy that runs Rock Star, has to "approve" the girls that work at 205. I'm not sure about that; personally I get pissed when people power trip on me so I never even bothered with it. People say that Barbie types work there, but the two aforementioned girls are both tattooed and raven-haired, so don't let that dissuade you. Rock Star also books DV8, Montego's, Nicolai St. Clubhouse, and Tommy's. I would avoid Tommy's and Montego's like the plague -- trust me. DV8 is alright, and the dances are no contact air dances. I'm not sure about how minors are treated there, but I think it's pretty lax in terms of you being able to hustle dances. The only reason I deal with Rock Star is because I wanted a break from couch dancing to work at the stage-only Nicolai St. Clubhouse, but even Nicolai is starting to suck now and I'm done with it. I don't think you would like it -- most women average 100-200 dollars there, unless there is some high-spending regular or a random generous customer in the joint.

You might like 205, but beware that you might have to put up with some annoying shit to work there (Rock Star). Remember there are other clubs to try out, too. Devil's Point and Sassy's have a high stage emphasis. Cabaret is pretty good for minors (I've seen minors do lots of dances there), but I'm not sure about the contact levels there right now, as I saw the contact get progressively higher when I worked there last year. You'll have to see for yourself.

Club 205 sounds exactly what you are looking for. I'm not 100% sure they book minors, but I think they do. Call up Rockstar and go for it.

As far as being restricted as a minor - that's just the way it is in places that serve alcohol, I mean you are a minor and personally I think it stretches the rules a bit anyway to let you work in a bar as it is.

I don't want to sound bitchy, you do just sound like a pretty driven dancer who wants to make the most money she can, but you are doing pretty well as a minor already.

Oh, and if you have specific ?s about 205, you can search Club Chat, I know there's a lot of info there.
I'm confused, but the Chewbacca Truffle Shuffle cleared it up. - Emily

seee... the thing is I want a club with ZERO contact. Couch dances are too much for me and make me an emotional wreck. I don't like getting that close to strangers... especially since I have a partner now, I feel like it's cheating, like it's wrong, like it's negative energy and bad karma and all that.

I want to work in a club that's either completely or the majority-- stage. 300/shift would be ideal... does a place like this exist??

I wish I was 21. I wish wish wish wish wish.

I just mentioned Devil's Point and Sassy's. You can sell dances at both places, but I believe that they keep a small number of girls per shift so you can spend a lot of time on stage. Also I mentioned that Nicolai is stage-only, but you'll likely make less than 200 dollars most shifts. They hire minors at 205, and the dances are no-contact air dances. If you don't like couch dances, then don't work at the Dolphin. I can't really tell you where you can make 300 per shift, because everyone makes different amounts.

EDIT: Oh yeah, you'll be 21 before you know it!

I've worked at 205 before... You have to book through rockstar, and its TOUGH to get on the schedule more than once. They say they do the booking, but the club owners actually have full approval of who gets shifts. So you work there once, and if hte club likes you you can work there again... So basically you have TWO different levels of people to sweet talk in order to steadily work there. Stage tips there ARE pretty good.

How can 205 be closer to where you live? Have you been OUT there? 205 is ALLLLLLLL the way out in SE 100th. Did you move?

    Good luck!
