Oh god.. another case of 'boys will be boys'... 13 is old enough to know grabbing girl's breasts is UNACCEPTABLE UNLESS INVITED. Fuckers.

The fact they got off with a $250 fine is disturbing as it sends the message to kids that you can buy your way out of trouble. At the very least, there should have been some community service involved.

Kids these days are ruthless....
they should of got punnished that is a but ridiculas i would be so embarresed if that was my boy.
Maybe the boys should be forced to endure little girls kicking them in the balls. No criminal charges, just let the girls get in one well placed kick for each grope.

Realistically, the boys should have been expelled from school. They obviously don't know how to behave in a co-ed environment, and maybe a court ordered stay at an all boys military school would straighten them right up.
Personally, I think all schooling after 5th grade should be same sex only. Boys and girls have such different needs in learning environments, that co-ed education (that's redundant) in the older grades is more mob control and less learning. Students could mingle at monitored events like dances and sporting events but school would be same sex only.

What do you expect with porn and rap demeaning women left and right being so easily accessible these days? Even if you are a good parent and try to shield your kids from most influences in your own home, they eventually run into that "other kid" in school or elsewhere, which has you struggling to uphold the "values" you've taught them or simply common courtesy.
The law should never have been involved in this, and it shouldn't have taken six months to deal with. The best way of handling this would've been thusly...
*grope*
*SLAP* "Fuck off, loser."
And both mothers being informed by the girls' parents, and the boys in deep shit at home.
End of story.

i agree.
this is very close to where i live and has been on the news nightly. i thought the whole thing was ridiculous. yes, they should get in trouble...hell maybe even expelled. but to try and label them sex offenders for the REST OF THEIR LIVES is ludicrous.
even the girls parents thought it was stupid. the girls still hang out with the boys!
I just saw an interview a night or so ago where one of the girls moms was bitching about how the police interview with the girls was inappropriate and how they pretty much coerced the girls into saying things that would make it worse for the boys.
this is NOT a sign of the times. boys have been popping bras and slapping butts for decades. and likewise, girls have been smacking the shit out the boys doing it.
granted that doesn't make it right, but it's should not involve labeling kids for the rest of their lives as sexual predators...which is what they would've gotten. now had they raped the girls or really gone any further, then yes bring in the cops.
i don't think they got off easy. this has been drawn out for months. they missed half of their school year last year, and are probably going to have to repeat it and have been pretty much confined to their home
in the end it was definitely a lesson learned by the boys and probably other boys in the school. but i guarantee, in a few years there will be a new crop of 13 yr old boys slapping butts and popping bras. and more girls smacking the shit out of them. i know that's what i did when my bra was snapped or ass grabbed in jr high.
hopefully i don't get flamed for this. but i have 2 boys and girl myself and i know how impulsive boys are. it sucks, but it's true. even the best parents out there can have several well behaved kids, but then there's that one kid that f's up. the best you can do is talk with them, punish them when they get out of line and hope for the best.

Yep. They are going to do that shit at thirteen; that's why parents are there to teach them to control themselves. They never learn to control themselves until they step out of line a few times and have to deal with the consequences. I had my ass smacked and my bra strap snapped a few times at that age, and each one was rewarded with a slap across the face or my shoe to the testicles. That's how they learn!

WTF? That exact same situation happened to me when I was in grade 8 and the boy that did it got suspended for two weeks and said he was sorry. No harm, no foul. We're still friends today. Kids do stupid shit like that, its a fact of life. Then again, I do agree with authorities getting involved if the boys had been repeatedly told to knock it off and continued to do it.

Those little shitheads.![]()
On the bright side, going to court like that will probably prevent them from doing that again... and hopefully getting in such deep trouble will set an example for others.
If you think school is hard, try being stupid.

I am pissed off that they dropped all the charges against the little fucks. I am SURE the girls agreed to drop charges due to feeling pressured by everyone around them, and being "talked into it".
I would agree 13 is a bit young to put them on the permanent sex offender's list, but they deserve some punishment. Now they've simply been taught that it's ok to do whatthefuckever to females and they don't deserve to be punished for it - that whatever they did receive was unjust treatment. Ugh. Just, fucking.....ugh.![]()
That whole "boys will be boys" argument is a load of bullshit and a copout for teaching human decency. UGH.

What they did was inappropriate, but it seems like the reaction was out of proportion, too. It'd perhaps be appropriate if they were older, or if they'd done it repeatedly before and not "understood" after getting in trouble, but from the news article, it sounds like it was sort-of at the level of schoolyard fights, etc, that can be dealt with in proportion. I guess I'm just not a big fan of involving 13 year olds with the police unless it's bad enough that someone went to the hospital/morgue or looks likely to otherwise.
$250 IS the going rate for a couple of gropes, though.
