If they are made well with a cushion insole they wouldnt be bad. That shard bend at the toes would cause mine to cramp though.
My back hurts just looking at those.

I borrowed a pair of shoes like that for a dungeon session once. I had to spend the whole thing seated and wound up kicking them off halfway through. I literally couldn't walk in them - they forced my arch so high that my knees jutted out and I couldn't stand upright. The only way I could walk at all was in this silly crouch, bent forward with my knees bent halfway. No thanks, I'll wear killer platform heels all night long but I need that platform under my toe!
heh, damn. i figured as much. it's shoe shopping time and those would look amazing, but that doesnt really matter if you can't shake your ass in them all night long.
haha those where THE stripper shoe of the 80's-90's.
you will get used to them but yes they make your arch high. i remember when we went from 4 to 5 inch stillettos. we thought we were sooo cool. lol goodtimes.
it just takes getting used to. it wasnt hard for us as we never had the stability of platforms back then.
They aren't so bad! When I started that was what all the girls wore. There were no platforms and most clubs had a 6 inch heel rule. Some girls I knew even wore 7's.
The stability will fuck with you at first, so if you have never danced in them, I would start with a 4.5 or 5 inch. Or you could get a buzz and just go for it. (That's what I did.)

Thanks, velvet and jasmine! I wore them, too. Therefore I am grateful for platforms in a way most of you will never know.

Me too! Actually I did 5 inches. (My foot from the ball to the heel is only 6 inches long).
I do think they are that bad, though.

I started dancing in pumps similar to these (I was from the sticks & couldn't find a stripper store...OH that was ages ago.)
A girl who started in the mid-90s told me she felt like Lucite heel platforms were like "ice skates" when she switched from pumps to platforms. LOL
Don't do it unless you plan on sitting around on your ass all night. You'll regret it.

So true! and girls always ask me why I wear the chunky heels.. I just tell em' after years of wearing pumps I want to be comfortable all the way
But I still wear my pumps. Only out though. I dont know if my feet could handle dancing in them for work. they hurt my toes.
I use to wear a pair like that for Domina sessions, too. I mainly used them for foot worship sessions, when I could be seated, and kick them off eventually. They also gave me a nasty callous (sp?). So, if you do get a pair, make sure you choose a bigger size.
I think they look really sexy...I like them a little more than platforms actually, but I would never wear them because they would hurt my toes. I've tried wearing stripper shoes with no platforms before...doesn't work for me.
Those look painful. I only like shoes with a round arch that set your heel down flat- like horizontal. I can't walk with my heel on an angle. But whatever- beauty is pain!

I knew a dancer who wore some 5 inch pumps just like those. They looked extremely sexy on her, but they hurt me just looking at them. I don't know how she did it. 6 inchers?![]()

That's right!I remember those from the early-mid 90's,everybody used to wear those, mainly 5 inches, sometimes 6,even boots were like that too.All before platforms. The clear platforms came even later than that.
They were surely painful, but I remember girls saying they prefer wearing them because it made certain leg moves easier.
I mostly wear pumps. Platforms make me fall down. I have thigh high boots like that too. I noticed in the black clubs around here, most of the girls wear pumps while in the white clubs, the girls wear platforms.

I understand the "Ice skates" comment. I hated platforms at first. They were more comfortable, however dancing was more of a challenge, the things are UGLY, and let's face it, we all walk like we have a stick shoved up our ass while wearing platforms. (Yes, to all you young-uns, you do, you just don't realize it because everyone else does it too, and you've never seen the sultry cat-like stalk that can only be done in pumps with a flexible base.)
I have shoes just like those but they are 5 inches instead of 6. When I worked full-time in an office, I wore them all the time. Or if I was going somewhere and didn't have to walk a WHOLE lot. Actually another secretary in the office also bought them because she loved them. The shoes are not too uncomfortable, but they would be so much more comfortable if they had some padding.

I wear these every time I go onstage. Can't dance stage without them.
