    Default Turning off the computer

Ya know...I just realized I spend about 8 hours a day on the internet.

No fucking wonder I've gotten so lazy!!!

I'm turning off my computer for the next month. Gonna see what else I can do in that "found" time I'm no longer wasting sittin here.

After I type this...I'm turning it off, and asking my boyfriend to hide my power cord.

I do need the internet to check on our SWfest, and I also need it for school...but that's where my laptop comes in. The laptop is for school work only..but I'll check up on the yahoo page, and might stop in from time to time. I can't expect to actually be able to stay away for an entire month srtiaght....I just want to eliminate getting stuck in the computer room for hours on end.

This is gonna be tough. Aside from my own comp. I have the laptop, and my boyfriend has a computer. I am surrounded by it....

But I am very curious to find out what else I will find to do if I don't spend my days shut in this room, being lazy.

I've got to make a drastic change in my life...and I think this is the only way to do it.

The question is...instead of wakign up in the Am, grabbign a pepsi and a smoke, and immediatly going to the computer to check SW...what will I do?
SW is like a pit. Once your here, you get sucked in and never leave....
Though its nto just SW...all the stupid games I play, boring pages I check out. All complete wastes of time.

    So...adios for awhile, SW!!

As I said, I'll check the yahoo group from my laptop...and anyone who needs to get ahold of me knows my real email addy or phone number....or should know how to get ahold of it.

    See ya in a month!
    Hopefully, I'm reformed by then....

    Damn addictions.

I'll miss u but I think it is a good idea, 8 hours is way too long to be spending online. I have cut down on my hours on SW lately coz I was neglecting my study and also I just felt physically lazy so I have spent the worse part of melbourne's winter under the heater and on SW but the weather is getting nicer and I need more exercise.

when i was at the beach for 2 weeks i actually *did* things since i had no computer. i read a few books in those 2 weeks, and since ive been back i managed to finish the last quarter of one i was reading. i dont get off the computer EVER. once school starts it will be even worse because i'll be trying to do work and i'll get distracted with sw and perez and everything else and things will take twice as long.

Damn... if I stayed off the computer for a month, most of my friends would think I died... seriously.

No worries..I'm around...just....less....you canfind me contact info on the yahoo page as well.

I'm on SW now...as a little rewrd I woke p at 5am...aand instead o getting onthe comp right away and end u getting sucked in and stuck on the comp all day, I woke up, ate breakfast, too a walk outside...cleaned up my house a little, planned what I'm gonna make for dinner.....much more productive.

I'm rather enjoying my time away.

( yeah, cause I've been away all of 4 hours so far, LOL.)

Anyway....productive morning. This is going well. HATE the laptop. So hard to type.

Will you still be on myspace? That's the only other way I know to get a hold of you!

I need to spend time away too; it never last long though. I have no will power...

I leave sw for a while sometimes, but I always come back. It's addictive. Good luck though. I'm sure you'll have lots of fun things to do.

I kinda want to do this too but I only have one computer...

Before I set up internet in my apt... soooo much free time!

I'm kinda embarrassed to admit it, but I guess at least I'm not the only one! Good luck!

Heh, I've said the same thing...I watch too much TV and surf the internet too much. I started buying books so I can keep things other than DVDs and CDs in my "bookcases"...but so far I'm only about 15 pages into the first book of about a dozen I've bought in the last couple of weeks.

So I need to blow up my laptop *and* my TV.
