Default Clubs in compliance with the 1500 foot rule in Houston

Anyone know of any? The list that was released a couple of months ago listed damn near ever strip club, bookstore, and spa. Which clubs are not in violation of this law? I am thinking that I will have to make an hour drive to Heartbreakers just to work for now. I currently am at Gold Cup.

Here is a list of businesses in violation from Chron.com. It's an excel file, so it has to be downloaded.

if heartbreakers is still running 50+ girls whether there are customers or not, it will be pretty hard to make moneys. stage tipping was good for a topless club, though (~50-150 per shift).

yeah, but how am I supposed to work in Austin or Dallas and still live in Houston? This is my home. I could work there from time to time, but I don't believe I'll make what I did before Monday.

you could travel to work and do alternating weekends (thurs-sun 2x a month). or you could try the nude clubs in houston and see if the money's improved recently now that they are back to full nude.

or you could travel to other states to work entirely, working 5-10 days somewhere else. i mean, there are dancing options.

or you could get another job, although i left houston precisely because it was so hard to find non-stripping work post-katrina.

Does anyone know which clubs will be open still after this ordinance is enforced?

it will take months, maybe years for all this to shake out. there is not much way to predict which clubs will still remain open at the end, so to speak.

i would bet, if i were a bettor, on small, non-chain clubs going down first and quickest (situations where a clubowner only owns 1 or maybe 2 clubs). i don't know how it would play out for the chains.

Heartbreakers is in the city of Dickinson, there for is not effected directly by the crack down in Houston. Indirectly though, there is an extensive amount of entertainers seeking a place to work without being effected by vice and the impact of the laws being enforced, and Heartbreakers is one of the few clubs offering that in and around the Houston area. HB's is a well managed club with minimal drama, and is working to make the influx of entertainers equel the customer growth. I see HB's being the place to be for both the customer and the entertainer within the Houston area.

Everyone can't work at Heartbreakers. Is there any organized revolt by Houston strippers and club owners to draw attention to the public that the city is wasting time and resources on fighting an industry that a large amount of the population enjoys patronizing, and where a large amount of citizens make a middle to upper middle class living?

Organized Houston strippers? Hahaha! These bitches would steal half your kitkat if you left one lying around! I had my favorite pair of shoes stolen when I left my makeup station for 10 minutes. And they were stinky old slingbacks!

    Seriously, that won't happen.

We all know about HB. I was referring to within the city limits in my original post..

Slim choices within the city limits. Just tryin to get ya a few options. The Gold Club out in Beaumont is another nice club to work, other than the smoking ban its biz as usual.

Nope, I have been to the Gold Club. That place sucks. None of the customers want to pay for a full price dance because they know the club does a special once an hour. Also, the club takes out waaay too much money from the dancers. The night I worked, they made about $100 off of me. As soon as I figure out how to write a review on it... the whole world will know about how bad it is there.

I am aware of how trifling some Houston dancers can be. But in LA and Scottsdale AZ the club owners got the public involved in the fight and got the anti strip club proposed laws on the ballot for public vote. Of course the cities lost.

Houston strip club owners collectively have waaay more money to wage a fight than the other two cities I mentioned.

Of course I have always contended that Texas is a corrupt good ole boys state, and the mayors office is not acting independently in most major issues. There is a lot of conservative control in the shadows that determines how Houston politics plays out.

The average citizens in Houston could give a damn about adult entertainment. They are more worried about survival, and the majority of the Aspd'ers who frequent the clubs and spas on a regular basis are redder than a glass of V-8. Texas puts on a religious God fearing outer face while on the inside they are total hypocrites. Austin is the only city there that is worth a damn.

In My Opinion As Soon As The Supreme Court Decides Either To Hear Or Not Hear Case , The Clubs Involved(mc, Cf,cg...) Will Either Give Up Sob And Do The Bikini Bar Thing Or If They R Not Denied Hearing, Remain The Same For A While.
Id Think Smaller Clubs Not Represented Would Surrender Sob Now And Operate As Bikini Bars. I Have Heard Some Already Are. The Big Clubs That Are Contesting This Wont Because They Know They Wont Be Issued One Again In Event They Prevail. Anyone Know If Any Clubs Have Done That.ill Check.

No club can be within 1500 feet of a school, daycare, church, park, neighborhood, another club or anything else they feel like adding to that damn list. They don't measure from door to door, but from property edge to property edge. Plus, older clubs are not grandfathered in which means that if by some miracle you're in compliance of this stupid law and a church decides to move in next door to you, you must close down your business.
