    Default ummm...hormones going bonkers....

So...wtf...the last month and a half, two months maybe my hormones have been going nuts and it's not like normal hormonal shifts during your cycle.

I NEVER had acne problems before, not even throughout high school, and the past two months my forehead is breaking out in acne..(no changes in any cosmetic routines, so..)

And my breasts (not taht i'm complaining) are bigger. not just "about to get my period" bigger, they've been like this for these couple of months. (i probably just jinxed myself and watch now they'll deflate to their previous size). And they hurt.

I've also gained about 5lbs...which is a good thing actually.

I'm about to turn 21 like next week, has anyone heard of this happening in your 20's? I feel like i'm going through puberty all over again though, but worse.

Before anyone asks, I'm not pregnant. I haven't been laid since April.

It's normal. Your body won't be fully mature until your mid-twenties.

There are differing doses of birth control pills that can help with undesirable PMS symptoms. Talk to your doctor or Planned Parenthood, they are very helpful (due to the volume of young women who pass through their offices.)

Shweet. ...the boobs can stay, the acne has GOT to go.

It's interesting because apparently i'm reading that like you said people still grow at this age but for some reason a lot of sources are hell bent on telling people they're done growing at like 16.

God I remember back when I was in 8th grade a woman told me, "no you won't get taller than 5'0", you're done growing by this age."

    UM. I'm practically 5'4".

I can totally sympathize. I turn 21 in (almost) a week and I've have the most nutso hormones this past summer. I thought my acne finally gave up about a year ago and its come raging back. I've actually nicknamed this large cyst between my eyes "Goliath" because its almost funny to me (yeah I know kinda gross, but it will go away on its own in a few days with my acne meds). It hasn't been this bad since middle school. My boobs pulled a disappearing act too and I went down a full cup size. I think that was the change in birth control. Ortho Tri Lo kidnapped my tits!

Heck at least you grew. I was told I would grow to about 5'4" once when I was really little and then again in about 6th grade. I stopped at 5' and a smidgen. My freaking sister grew to about 5'11" during her late teens (granted we have different moms, but her side is shorter than mine!). My dad is only about 5'7".

    You never know I guess.

You might want to look into the supplement Milk Thistle. You may not need it so young, but if you do any serious drinking it may help. It helps reginerate cells in your liver so that it can process your hormones better.
