    back to work after baby

I had a baby six weeks ago and I'm anxious to get back to work. I stopped dancing early in my pregnancy because I have a history of miscarraige and my OB wanted me to take it easy, so I haven't danced in over ten months. I'm nearly back to my pre-pregnancy weight but my stomach is just not a pretty sight. I'm hoping crunches will help but the problem is more the loose skin and the dark line down my midsection. Any suggestions on how to get my body back to working shape quickly would be much appreciated. Money is getting a little tight but I don't want to go back looking like this.

There is a book out called "Lose your Mummy Tummy", its by a lady last name of Tupler. Look up the Tupler Technique on google. A lot of women swear by it and my Doc. reccomended it to me for when I have my baby. I have a diastasis, which is a split between the recti abdominus, causing a flabby tummy with a poochy-pouchy thing. Luckily my split is small, between one and two fingers width, but some women get it up to like ten fingers! But this Tupler Techinique helps get rid of the flab, stretched skin, and pooch.
here is a link to a sample of what is reccomended:

The book contains a lot more, and also works on the rest of the body, not just the tummy.

Also it just takes time. The skin needs time to tighten back up, if you just lose the fat, you'll have really loose skin left.

My line finally faded after about 7 months.

    Congrats!

I took a lot of walks with the baby, sometimes eup to 2 times a day. I did push-ups, sits ups...

After breastfeeding I did Pilates, weight training, cardio, and simply watched my diet. When my weight loss hit a plateau, I took Tonalin CLA (don't take this til after breastfeeding.). TONALIN ROCKS!! It melted away the baby fat I couldn't exercise away. Highly recommend it.

The workouts and tonalin were great for me, because my coworkers cant believe that I'm 33 and have a son. Exercise (esp. Pilates) is great for new moms. Keeps the stress under control.

If the loose skin doesn't go away after a year or so, there is always the Titan laser procedure (Google it) that will tighten up loose skin.

    Aand congrats! Enjoy your baby!
