Default Trying to find someone online?

Well, im turning to the internet to try to locate my older sister. I googled some websites and most of them you need a SS# to find someone..all i have is her name and her old address, birthdate, i think thats it...the problem is she might have gotten married and changed her last name or even her first name. I really need to ask her some questions about our dead father so its important to me to find her. any help??

edit-I have hired someone to help find her, and they couldent, thats why im turning to the internet if anyone was wondering.

I've been wanting to reconnect with my oldest sister. I just went to this site (intelius.com), put in her original name even though I knew she had gotten married a few months ago and it came up with three different choices. They were all her but different places she's lived. The last one was the most current. I couldn't get the exact address and whatnot unless I pay a fee. I don't like that site that much though because I just put my own name in it and it didn't show anything current and neither did my husband's.

I hope you are able to find her somehow and soon.

just a thought this book has some stuff in it that might help. with her name you could check property and auto records. which will have address and phone numbers on them.

Another site that's worked for me, on occasion, is www.zabbasearch.com

I used this site just last week:

For $40 I received a list of about 10 addresses and sent letters to 6 of them. I'll let you know if anything comes of it. There were no phone numbers attached to the addresses though, I'm not sure if that's because she didn't have a phone in her name or what.

eta: I just used the first and last name, no SS#. I was able to narrow down the hits based upon ages plus I knew the general geographic location.

I'm guessing you've already done the basic open Google search for the name, along with a general state location, right? Often that turns up a name, address and phone number -- most especially if you know the county/borough/town, too. Don't forget to try different versions of the same name, like someone might enter it into a phone book -- with just the first initial and last name, with the first name abbreviated if it is commonly done, with a diminutive if that's a common thing to be done with the first name, etc.

Someone getting married need not present a final block to finding out what's become of them, either: If you know the original name of the person, and their last or most likely geographic location, you can search for marriage databases online to find a marriage record for them. Marriage and Divorce databases have the names of people who married, when and where -- so you can find out what the new surname of the person is likely to be. Sometimes these databases include birthdates of the couple, which makes it easier to pinpoint which one is likely to be the real McCoy. Also, narrow it down by only looking at years that are likely, ie: someone who got married in 1955 is not likely to be your sister, right? So only search within dates that make sense.

I think if you Google for "marriage databases" along with the locale, you might have some luck. Also, check out www.intelius.com. (oops, I see that's already been suggested, my bad!)

    Best of luck.

Yes, ive tried google and zaba(not even her old addresses that i had came up) im gonna try to google the marriage databases, although im not even sure what state she is in. Her last address was in Miami in 2000...I think she might be in chicago where her mom lives(we have diff moms, same dad) Her mother is NO help at all. I called once and she hung up on me and told me she hadent talked to missy in years but i doubt it...Even she could tell me what im looking for, but Nope. Just to be a bitch cause she doesnt like my mother! im gonna check out the us search.
