Default positive outcomes of a bad night

so i had one of those nights that makes you realise why some girls turn to extras. I made $40, my taxis cost me $30.
All i wanted to do was come home ,cry, and eat especially since i blew off a night with my boyfriend to work.
BUT i thought whats the point on wallowing in self pity over something thats been and gone?

Instead i told myself a one on one pole lesson in town would have cost me $100 for an hour. The club was so slow that i got free lessons from a girl i work with for about 3 hours! so there you go, i tell myself, thats me saved $300 already.

I practised the pole for so long tonight i can see the difference in my thighs, arms and stomach already, so hey thats me saved on a trip to the gym!

I also learned to be more assertive and not take shit from mean customers (aka mr. "You can give me a blow job or fuck off" man).

And I built my confidence by PR'ing for the club for a while.

It would be great if anyone that has or has had (and i'm sure we all have) a bad night to find just one positive thing that they have taken from the night and post it here. That way when we have a shitty night in future we can read this to feel a wee bit more positive again

Bumping this back up to the top....

If anything, an incredibly shitty money night will give you perspective. It makes the good nights seem great. I really don't think a girl has earned her stripper wings until she walks with under $100. Otherwise you're still walking around thinking this job is magical and amazing, which it can be.

And in the very least, you get paid to work out.

I like the way you both think!! I try to do this a LOT...

I say "well at least I got part of the money to buy that bit of makeup. Now thursday's take can go to pay my rent instead!" Or something like that.

But it DEFINATELY makes you appreciate the good days.

Yea, same here. I'm more thankful for the good days. If it was shitty then usually no one was mean to me that night. It might be bad but sometimes I say better than nothing. Then I see the chance to go from a bad night to a good night the next time I work.

Was this saturday? I went into work only to find there were TWICE as many girls on as they usually have. They tried to tell me there weren't that many, even though I'd seen the list of names the DJ had.
Even the customers had started complaining that there were too many girls. I never even spoke to one guy, and you couldn't actually walk through the downstairs of the club due to all the girls.
I went to the manager, and told him that I was going home, I'd only been there 20 mins, and I was NOT HAPPY. He tried to convince me that "it would get busier later". He didn't even know how many girls were on, and had to ask the DJ to come over to show him the list.
He even tried to tell me that "last night" there had been too few girls (what has LAST NIGHT got to do with TONIGHT!?).
I then had to tell him that I WOULD be having my £80 house fee back.

He thought about it, and then said, yes I could go home, and YES, I could have my house fee back. It was almost like he realised that he had fucked up.
I went home, stuck my feet up on the table and watched telly - safe in the knowledge that I would have had a shitty night, come home pissed off, tired, and with next to no money.
    I did the right thing.

Is it the bank holiday syndrome to you think?

    - I thought the manager might be properly pissed off, but he asked me when Iwas working next tonight when I went in to teach my pole class.

It was a Sunday (my first sunday-won't be working one again unless i'm the only girl in!!)
Things have been badly affected here due to a drive by shooting last friday and a murder mid week. What a lovely area to be waiting an hour for a taxi :S

But this thread is meant to be postive so happy happy I've been told the club is the "only safe place in town" by hundreds of custies lol
