Default So I'm lazy too and I need to work more

I just want more money for things I want now. Theres a long list. I'm fine on my 2-3 days a week for savings, taxes, small extra expenses, essential expenses etc. Then some months its 2 days a week. I'd like to work always 3 days and maybe a 4th for extra money.

How do you push yourself to work more days a week? I feel lazy like I want to do homework, workout, and watch movies with my noisy cat. How to snap out of lazy stripper mode.

I tell people that I can't do ______ because I'm working that day. Also, sometimes I leave a bill out to look at when I get up that day... that DEFINATELY encourages me to get in.
If you think school is hard, try being stupid.

You are not lazy. Why o why do you think it is lazy to work so few days?

If you make in 2-3 days what someone would over 5 days ... I would be the last to call you lazy! It is all about how you use your time AT work IMO.

A truely lazy stripper does 2-3 days and when she gets to work doesn't really do much beyond what is required of her ... if you are a hard worker when at work for those 2-3 days you damn deserve those other days off.

Plus it all depends on you and what YOU can tolerate/handle.

I know that I do much better overall working 3 nights per week locally here (Gold Coast) where there is touching of the dancer involved in lap dances compared to Melbourne (or another place) where the dancer is not allowed to be touched.

I can only handle and be motivated to work that amount of nights locally due to the touching of me involved in lap dances..... it is very mentally draining for me since I work sober (generally as I drive to/from work).

Locally, I love my days off. Even if I spend most of it doing alot of nothing (or what seems like alot of nothing). I need that mental break. I need that time to re-charge so I'm the last person to call anyone lazy.

Sometimes less is more. If you make more working less nights.. then work SMARTER not HARDER. Sheesh.

Stop with this lazy stripper nonsense.

Bella- Laying a bill out on the table...GREAT idea! I'm gonna try that.
I agree with what GCG says too though in a way. There's a girl at my club who works 7 days a week. Every day she's complaining about how she's barely made tip out. What I'm saying is, try not to burn yourself out.

This is how I do it.

I want to make $60k this year.
    That means $5k a month.

I know my nightly average, and so I know how many days a month it will take me to make that. From the number of days, I make a weekly schedule. At times, I have busted ass at the beginning of the month so I can take a respite at the end of the month when everyone's scrambling into work to pay their rent. If you don't want to feel scheduled, then figure out how many days you need to work a month, and mark them 1st shift, 2nd shift, 3rd shift, etc etc on your calendar until you have done your 15 days or whatever you want to work for the month.

I can't stress enough the importance of making your goals visual. Get a Hello Kitty calendar and mark that bitch up. Or something that is fun for you. I have a dry-erase board with a thermometer drawn on it. After every shift, I get to color in some. It's fun, and I can see myself going up towards the top. Mine is a special thermometer... it actually looks like a dick and balls because I rule like that. My boyfriend's dad came to visit, and I had to turn it back into a normal thermometer. Dammit! If I could find the dock for my digital camera, I'd share a pic.

I really wish I knew the answer to this too, I really do.

Second semester started almost a month ago and I haven't bought ANY textbooks because any money that's been coming in has been used to pay off other priortised debts.

I haven't worked in two months because I've been caught up doing other things (going to class, spending w/e with friends) instead of working. And if my last few shifts were anything to go by, I don't think I'll be much better off financially if I did go back anyway because let me tell you there's a drought out there. Well it's either that or my hustle's completely dead and I don't think there's a chance it'll be revived any time soon.

    /end rant
