    Default Neutrogena Sheer Bodytint-A review

I've been trying to fake tan for a week or so, to see how it affects my money. It seems to be helping (or at least no one comments on my pastiness anymore). I was using the SH Airbrush Legs, but the new formula clogs up (I think someone posted about that already) the cap. So I tryed the Neutrogena Sheer Bodytint in light/medium.

OMG. It looks like mud on me. It's not only NOT transferproof as it claims, it's not even soda-bottle-resting-against-your-leg proof. Sweated off the back of my knees and turned grainy and muddy looking on my legs. And it's just slimy going on. Blech blech blech.

Continuing my search for a really temporary tan...

Rose, I use a lotion by Dove. I really like it, and it's not very smelly either. Still a faint tanner smell, but not bad. Plus it has a soft shimemr to it, which doesn't matter to me since I put it on early in the day or the night before and then shower before work. the color is gradual, but nice and lasts for quite a while.

Just my input for your search.

smash box has a lotion that is very (not totally, i wouldnt wear it with very light color dresses but it wont sweat off or run) transfer resistant. its called body lights glowing lotion. you can get it on sephora, its expensive though 35$ if you search sephora you'll find a few of them. i go for shimmer when i dont have the energy for tanning, the sally hansen shimmer spray is great, it subtle and doesnt come off (never clogged on me) i look super toned and defined with it on, a bit like being oiled up with out the slimy feeling.

I just bought some shimmer lotion(the stuff with a light shimmer by jergins) and bought some liquid bronzer (by bonne belle), squirted some in the lotion bottle, shook it up...and apply. After it absorbs into the skin, it's pretty transfer proof, looks really nice with the shimmer, and washes of in the shower. You could do it with any lotion, I just like the light shimmer.
You can also custom how dark you get by how much bronzer you mix in the lotion. I start small, put a little on my arm, and if I want darker, I add more till I get the color I want. Rub it in good and there'll be no streaks or wierdness. Don't try to go to dark, or look liek you just spent a week in the sun, that will look unnatural, but for a nice glow, it works well.

Yay for good ideas! I've tried the Coppertone gradual stuff and I like it, but it doesn't work evenly on me so far. And, well, it's not temporary. I like the idea of some light shimmer though. I just need to take the blinding whiteness of my skin down a few notches, you know?

Have you tried Aero Tan by Sexy Hair? This stuff is great. A little expensive, but doesn't clog, streak, transfer easily, or look muddy. Check out the makeupalley reviews.

Jasmine, I just checked out the reviews on that stuff. It sounds nice, but do you know how it reacts with stretch marks? Specifically the white ones?

^^Covers them really well. At least it does mine, but they are old, like from puberty. That's actually what I use it for, to cover those and a few scars.

I saw this a while back and wasn't able to find any in the stores. I see on the reviews that it's at Ulta, so I think I'll try and it find it again!

I've been using the Nivea gradual tanner and I like it. For more color I like the L'Oreal lotion; it's really dark brown but it blends in nicely, and it's got shimmery stuff in it so you're all shimmery afterward. It doesn't smell like tanner at all. The Nivea smells a little like citrus and the L'Oreal tanner smells like lotion.

My only complaint with the L'Oreal is that it tends to stain around my knees and ankles, but I've started putting baby oil gel on those areas before applying the tanner and it doesn't stain anymore. I like it.

Trade Secret carries it too. That's where I got mine.
