    Default Gowns for short chicks

So, supposedly our new management wants us to wear gowns at least once a night. I've tried on a lot and nothing looks good on me so far-I'm small in the chest (32B), short and hippy with a J Lo butt. Any recommendations on styles or brands I should look to? I know I'll have to hem them, I just don't want to be taken over by the huge top of a dress, nor made to look like a sausage.

I'm figuring I should avoid side slits, so it's not hip fat time. I'm not adverse to belly showing, or pretty revealing gown, I just want to look good! Anyone?

    I like these:

You should look good in anything really low cut, or the keyhole neckline. Keep the bottom simple and you should be fine. I'm short and a pear as well and this always worked for me.

BTW the white one will probably make the hips look wider the way it is cut. That cut will whittle the was and emphasize curves, probably not what you were going for.

I am short, two piece gowns with a flowy bottom look good on me. There is a dress maker that sells her dresses at Delilah's and Club risque (on the del.) that makes really effin awesome gowns. At Delilah's they cost 55-100 at risque they cost 75-110. You have to ask permission to go into the dressing room. I doubt D's would let a non dancer in, but on Wed Thursday and Friday's the housemom would let you in if you asked the bouncer. And she isn't there until 4 and doesn't pull the good gowns till 7ish.

I hate the stripper store gowns on south street, everyone winds up having the same thing and they are not as good quality as the ones made by the "dress lady." I really recommend going to her for them. I would buy a gown every week I loved them so much!

Nice! I'll have to head over to Delilahs or CR. The dresses our housemom has-eh, they don't do anything for me. Just the same stuff from South Street. I do like the Candy Shop/Candy Store/whatever it's called but none of their gowns do much for me either. Do you know if the dress lady has an email or website or anything?

I see what you mean about the white gown, Jasmine. I like emphasizing my waist, but there is a balance!

Nope, the dress lady sells directly at Delilahs, and through the housemom at Club Risque. I recommend going to risque only because I don't think they'd let a customer (even a girl) in the dressing room to buy gowns. and I don't know when the gown lady is at D's. But Risque's number is 215-463-6900. Press 2 I think to talk to a manager ask if you can come in to see the housemom on wed, thurs, or friday to buy gowns. I'm sure they will let you.

Wait, didn't you work there! lol! Or did you work at Bristol?

I've heard things about him, but back to the subject. Harriet, that's the name of the housemom that sells the hot dresssed. I completely blanked on her name. I felt awful lol, having worked with her for so long, but yes, it's Harriet!

Good luck, pm me when you get some cute dresses, they are worth it!

The candy store also makes custom outfits (at least, that's what the lady told me last time I went there.) So if you design a gown or two yourself, they can make it up for you. I plan on getting them to make a few pieces myself; will post pics so you can see how they turn out, if you think you might want to try that route.
