I like Jim Beam but I've never heard of a "Jim Beam and Dry" before , but googling it seems to suggest it's a Jim Beam and Dry Gingerale.

Google also spits back a "JIM BEAM WHT & DRY CAN 375ML", which is a pre-mixed, canned alcoholic drink available in Australia.

Yea, I saw that. Any idea what's in that? It seems strange that there isn't a list of ingredients. I guess we'll have to wait for one of the Aussies to fill us in.

I'm wagering on Canada Dry Ginger Ale, that would be about roight.
I've come a long way since I believed in anything, and I've come half way around the world.

Could be Jim Beam and dry vermouth:

This drink has both those ingredients.

    The Scofflaw
Jim Beam Straight rye whiskey, Vya dry vermouth, freshly squeezed lemon juice, pomegranate grenadine, Gary Regan's Orange Bitters No. 6

Jim Bean and ginger ale? Bleh...that would be sickeningly sweet!! But I suppose if you like sweet drinks it would be right up your alley!

Ick! That combination IS super sweet. I'm a Jim Beam drinker and I just mix it with a bit of water and its perfect.

I like it lol but I hate fruity sweet drinks. Although I've never actually had Jim Beam and ginger but I adore Johnnie Walker Black and ginger ale. yum yum!

thread drift: Did you know that vodka and coke is a popular drink in the UK? I tried it at home and it's actually pretty good!

Yea, or I like most bourbon's with just a bit of ice to cool it down, once the ice melts it's perfect. Bourbon's are already quite sweet (at least they are to my pallet). I would think mixing it with sugary soda would be nasty, both too sweet, and destroy the subtle flavors of the bourbon.

^^^ Bourbon goes in milkshakes! My ex used to make the most delicious cinnamon-bourbon milkshakes in the fall.

I agree. Bourbon have a very complex flavour. The soda would cover the licorice and mint undertones and hence (in my opinion) ruin the liquor.

I don't think he had a recipe. He just put vanilla bean ice cream in a blender with milk, bourbon, nutmeg, and cinnamon until it looked right, and blended it. It was incredible.
