Default How to find lost pic's on computer?

I was just looking around on my computer and realized all our honeymoon pics are missing. These are the only good pics we have of me at all (besides wedding photos). All our other albums and photos appear to be present. We had our old computer crash, so we lost everything we had on there about 4-5 years ago, and these were the only survivors.
I am always the photographer so there are tons of my hubby and kids, but the only ones of me now are the ones I took myself to post here. It would be nice to find at least one or two from before I gained all the baby weight.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! I'm a computer idiot.

    Thanks!
    Jasmine

Well, I haven't found the honeymoon pics. Buuutttt, I found my husbands porn stash. Hidden in a tax file.

The funny part is I used to bring him signed pics of all the features at my club, so I'm confused about why it's hidden.

The jpg is probably the most common picture extension.

    Search *.jpg

I think windows search has a checkbox for pictures.

He's probably thinking better safe than in the dog house!

A tiny program, < 200 KB, called spacemonger might be helpful to you for finding your picture files.

    This a typical link:

    A neat itty-bitty program.

I can't seem to find some old pics on my computer as well. I've tried all of the above. I may have to call the guy who fixed my computer. I hope he didn't accidentally delete them or something. I had some beautiful pics saved on here from vacations and stuff.

...if they were deleted, might try this free program. If the drive was formatted then not much hope.

    *sigh*

I'm computer stupid. It's saying that the "publisher could not be verified", and then when I click on it to run...it does nothing. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or what. Probably. Oh well...I'll have to call my computer guy I guess...

...sounds like your group policy is set to stop files from running that are not in the approved list. Your comp guy (or mast or someone else) should be able to help figure it out.

    FYI.....
Disable the message from appearing warning you that "The Publisher Could Not Be Verified" when you run certain files.

    1. Click Start-->Run and type gpedit.msc. Click OK

    2. Go to User Configuration-->Administrative Templates-->Windows Components-->Attachment Manager

    3. Add "*.exe" to the "Inclusion list for moderate risk file types" setting. You can also add other file types.

This should disable the "Publisher Could Not Be Verified" messages from appearing for that file type in the future.
