Default long... fatigue, thyroid, mono, and more

I posted this in a health forum...

    Hi!

    Kinda long, so...

I'm a 25 yr old female previously diagnosed around age 18 as hypo. Went into the military and had to hide my disorder, but continued to take Synthroid- until I went off it for a few months, and tested normal at 2.2. I thought at the time I was off the medication long enough that it would test correctly- plus the medication wasn't helping the way it should have. This was all around two years ago.

I'm not at 6.12, low-grade hypo. I've always been tired most the time and unmotivated most my teen/adult life, from which espresso is my savior. Recently, however, I've become a bit more fatigued, as well as, in the past three months, experienced: tension headaches (now gone), increased fatigue, slightly decreased appetite, joint and muscle aches and pains mainly upper body, stiff neck and neck pain, and insomnia/probs waking up; the past two weeks/few days: much increased 'confusion', memory problems, and loss of words (which has been bad for years), tender glands on my throat, more fatigue, and fever-like-symptoms (without an actual fever).

I'm interested in the connection also between mono, CFS, and hypothyroidism. I've been diagnosed with mononucleosis three times- blood tests for each- first when I was a young teen and most recently a year and a half ago. All were severe enough to warrent time off work/school and one hospitalization.

If anyone has any information for me, or a similar story (I'm still reading through everyone else's posts!), sharing would be much appreciated!

I know I'm low grade hypo, but I'm wondering why my symptoms are like this!
Now I know this is a stripper forum, but I'm always surprised at the wealth of knowledge and experience on here!

The thing that worries me the most really is the mental aspect. I feel as if I'm slowly loosing my damn mind, I can't remember shit, it's making life kinda difficult. I'm EXTREMELY afraid of getting more and more forgetful and losing any intellectual capabilities.

Any help would be appreciated, and thanks for reading!

    Goodness me where to start!?

I have become alot more familiar with these conditions over the last year and although my test results where 'normal' (aside from adrenal dysfunction ... thank you stress and night shift!) I have had great results from living on a 'Pro-Thyroid' diet that I got of my Life Coach based in Sydney. (if you want the full 5 pages PM me and I will send it across). I had so many symptoms that I thought I had to live with that have now disappeared!

I think a lot of this stuff, especially as woman, is how we live our lives. Thyroid stuff has to do with 5th Chakra energies to do with expression and the likes (I have more on this too if you like?) Emotions and health and so strongly connected!

www.litalee.com has some great info on thyroid health too if you search the articles there

^^ My teachers name is Sarah McIntyre, she works a lot with people with auto immune diseases especially thyroid. An auto immune disease is basically where the body begins to attack itself and cause conditions like those you mentioned: www.sarahmcintyre.com

She is a bit 'out there' for some but for me her work has been transformational!

Mary Shomon is apparently one of the better authors on the subject too, she has a few books available and also writes the http://thyroid.about.com site.

Almost anything to do with auto-immune disease relates here too.

Don't forget to PM me with your email if you want me to send you across the info I have

^ I used to have one of her books, but she was kinda out there to me. But definitely interesting and worth the read.
