    Default Tattoo to cover scars

I have a scar on my tummy from my C section and it really bothers me. I am trying to get into modeling more seriously, and worry that it will be used against me (it already has been). However, tattoos are not the taboo they once were and plenty of models have very visible ones. So, I'm asking for ideas. I tend to go overboard and I am really an extremist, so I don't trust my own tastes/ideas on this subject.

sssso, feel free to post links to pix or sites where I can get ideas, or just tell me about your ideas. Remember, I am a dancer, trying to get into Playboy, and about to start working in a brothel, so I don't want to scare guys off... And I am a glam whore barbie, not a Suicide Girl.

Ink doesn't always take to scars. I have some I'd like to cover up as well. I'll look up some pics for you.

I have heard that ink does not do well with scars too, but can't say for sure. Perhaps scar removal may be an option as well since you are considering modeling. Just a thought. My first thought for a tattoo is some simple lines, feminine design. Maybe I can find some pic.

I had some scar cover-up work done. My scarring was extensive so the tattoo had to be as well (altho I am getting it far larger than it would need to be). Ink doesn't hold up on scars as well as on normal skin so it will most likely show through. I would go to a talented tattoo artist skilled with cover-ups and ask them to design something for you. The scar limits what you can place over it somewhat.

My cover-up is still unfinished but here's some pics of it since the last update, and a pic of the scars before the tattoo. My artist decided that since my scarring was so extensive and my skin has trouble getting ink to stay in anyway that it would be better to use the scar as highlights for the tattoo than to try and completely cover it up. Couldn't be more grateful for that decision.

My friend has one to cover a scar from a surgery on her back. She was sick of guys asking her about it at work in the middle of a dance, so she went to a really great place and they designed something for her. I think she went a little too large with the tat, but she was happy with it. Esp not having to hear questions about it. You couldn't see that scar at all unless she pointed it out and you looked really closely. However, I don't think tummy tattoos are very Playboy if that is your ambition.

I spent almost three hours online yesterday looking at tats and I'm thinking of doing some photorealistic flowering vines all over my body in a soft array of oranges, reds and pinks. Something flirty and very femme. That way I can continue theoriginal design as far along my body as i want to in the future. Another idea is peacock feathers... I'm a huge color fan and won't use black/grey at all.

So if anyone sees a great flowering vine or peacock feather, or anything similar, don't hesitate to let me know.

I've seen a LOT of girls who tat over c-section scars. Most are pretty obvious and draw MORE attention to it, not less. And a lot of guys have seen this so much that they assume that a tat there is covering a c-section scar.

You may be better off seeing a Dr. about scar reduction...they may be able to redo it and make it invisible.

Also...if Playboy is your dream..careful on the tats. They dont like large tats and it can hurt your chances of being picked. I've never done the mag, but I've done several videos for Playboy and I've seen them turn people away because of tats before.

I got a big c-section scar on my tummy too. I used to put make-up on it but got tired of doing it so I'm planning to have mini-tummy tuck since I really need that too anyway That will remove the scars.
