    Best Month(s) in Vegas?

I saw some talk of this subject, and searched it as well, but the threads were somewhat old.

I work in Manhattan, and know that December is our best month (everyone gets their xmas bonuses), but what about Vegas?

I heard January is awesome there... ?

    TIA

You can check conventions on this site:

Just put in the dates (I usually search a few months to 6 months at a time, or click view all) and look for the conventions that have lots of attendees. January-March is really good, November has SEMA, Superbowl is great. Just remember every stripper shows up to work those good events and the hustle is different there. If you look for kikiwiki's comments in some of the NYC or Vegas threads, they will tell you a lot. She has worked both and gives a great perspective.

January has always been the best month for me personally. Not only do you get CES but also AVN awards are a day or so after CES, which is tons of fun. It all depends on what clubs you work at because some are much better than others.

    Good luck!

Most girls will probably not be too forthcoming as to when the best times are. If they dished too many details, then a horde of strippers would fly in and spread the money too thin.

Ellie, I think you must be my knocker doppelganger.

There are three indexes we track, one is the LV metro area, one is just the strip, and one is convention attendance (not $ spent by attendees, which is worked into the other two). They each have their problems, the convention one in particular can be off a month if a really big convention goes from the end of one month to the beginning of the next, but together give a pretty good look into the LV ebb and flow.

These are indexes, with the 100 value being set at the highest month (so a result of 50 means ½ as good as the best month).

Data is presented as Month: LV Metro Index: Strip Index: Convention Index.

    Month: LV Metro: Strip: Con
    Jan: 100:98:91
    Feb: 87:86:100
    Mar: 89:85:81
    Apr: 82:80:67
    May: 96:94:52
    Jun: 73:71:61
    July: 84:83:48
    Aug: 87:87:75
    Sep: 80:80:49
    Oct: 87:83:61
    Nov: 100:100:72
    Dec: 55:95:20

The Strip and LV metro indexes are solid trackers or optional expenses. We find that tracking # of hotel rooms/visitors is a terrible way to predict business as different times of year attract different types of customers.

This is general stuff, and while it’s good at predicting wide spending patterns, each club (and each dancer) will be affected differently and obviously more dancers will show up in January than June so the competition will be higher in the better months.

These don’t take into account monthly inflation, so the later months are very slightly under represented.

    Hope this was useful,
    Luke

Wasn't this site made for helping and befriending fellow strippers? Lets all think realisticly, it's Vegas and there's no need to be snotty and stingy.

Wow, kinda harsh for a third post, dotcha think? Vegas is over run with girls when it's "busy" and some people are stuck working here when it's "slow", too and resent girls looking to come in and find their pot of gold and leave - ESPECIALLY when they have attitudes like this.

Forgive me - my pain meds ran out this morning (!)

Some people are stuck working at A LOT of places in OTHER states when it's slow (most of the year). Regardless of when its at its worst, I still make atleast what my trip costs (and I make atleast 3 trips there a year). I'm not complaining. Do you know how many girls actually come out here and "find their pot of gold"? I mean there's so many girls and so many customers, who has the time to sit around at work and get pissed off? Dancers come and go in Vegas, that is what it is.

ditto that Jaxx. Get over it Vegas is a revolving door when it comes to stripping. If your pulled together and you know how to hustle you can make money anywhere no matter how much competition comes and goes.

Uh, it still sucks when a place is so overrun with girls that not making your housefees back sometimes is a way of life. You girls who just travel to work there clearly don't get it Get over it yourselves, I say.

I do agree it sucks when certain areas of the strip club industry become too saturated. Even working in New Orleans pre- katrina I knew this. But this is not the dancers fault when management chooses to hire too many girls. I second keeping an eye on that convention calendar, and interesting info vegas group.

^My point was merely that girls who live and work year-round in an over-saturated market like Vegas are going to resent the girls who fly in occasionally to slurp up the best money opportunities, so when said out-of-towners see local girls displaying such resentment they shouldn't be shocked or offended. They should remember to expect it and try not to step on those girls' toes so much, since they're basically guests in the local girls' collective house...

We could write books on poor stripclub management but that's a whole 'nother thread.

I don't resent it. I work at Scores. I watched there be no girls (and of course NO MONEY) all summer at the lub. Then, Labor Day comes and goes, and all of a sudden 200 new blondes are standin in my dressing room.

The point is, whenever money arrives to an area/club, dancers show up. It's reality. I work in a pretty darn high hustle environment. I get along with most girls and managemtn, and mind my P's and Q's. But I still intend on going where the money is.

Dancers that make money aren't in the industry to make friends. WITH THAT SAID (!!!) just b/c you're not there to make friends, doesn't mean that one should disrespect "house" dancers. Ladies, there IS a balance... :-)
