    Default reducing your power bill?

anyone know ways to reduce your use of power of at home? I know to turn off and/or unplug all appliances your not using, turn off the lights when not in the room, switch out your light bulbs, and turn down your heat/AC, but are there any other ways?

-Open windows for fresh cool air rather than ac if possible

-turn off ac/heater while you are not home, leave windows cracked if possible

-put on a sweater or use a blanket rather than turnging heat up

-try to turn the heater/ac down or off at night if possible

-install solar panels(seems to be popular in europe)

-limit how much you use appliances

-before left overfood away in the fridge, let it cool down first

-if u have an electric stove, make sure pots/pans are the fit correctly and are not smaller

-try to use the least amount of electronics as possible(turn off stereo and tv while on the computer, use the computer for music while you are on it if u wanna hear it.

a digital/programmable thermostat will also allow you to only use the AC/heater when you need it (when you're home).

draw your curtains to limit sunlight coming in during the summer (less work on the AC). and the opposite during the winter to aid the heater.

The best possible thing you can do is insulation. Additional insulation in your attic is a big plus. Window caulking to limit drafts. Weather stripping around doors. The spray foam insulation around wall sockets and light switches. An incense stick will help you find drafts, carry it around you will see which way the smoke is pulled. Insulation stuffed into garbage bages and stuffed into the tops of walls from the attic helps. As does caulking and sealing light fixtures from the attic side.

Insulate your water pipes with the foam wrap a rounds. So heat is not lost and to help prevent pipes from freezing. Turn you water heaters thermostat down.

Turn the thermostat down at night and sleep under more blankets. When the wind is howling, and the snow is piling up outside have sex.
