    i have danced to this.

dj qbert - aphrodisiskratch. there is nothing like a twisted sounding sped-up skratched-up orgasm loop to disturb the hell out of a bunch of people playing poker and ignoring the half-naked girl onstage. at least it got them to look up! do i sound bitter? i kinda am. being a stripper in a place that's MAINLY a poker joint four nights a week can do that to you...

quoth the dj: "please, never, ever, ask me to play that song again."

my favorite is there's a version of the pulp fiction soundtrack that has movie clips between the songs...id get up there and my song starts and it's "WELCOME TO THE WORLD FAMOUS JACKRABBIT SLIM TWIST COMPETITION..whats your name little lady? mrs. mia wallace...and whos your fella here....vincent vega" and then it's all "it was a teenage weddin and the old folks wished em well.. do do do do" and i'm all trying to do the twist in 6" platforms. (it is amazingly hard) i'm such a clown...

o/` c'est la vie, say the old folks, it goes to show you never can tell

edit: id try to follow this "strange" song with something else from the soundtrack that was "normal".... like al green - lets stay together.

Almost everything listed on here I"ve heard multiple times! Not wierd at all.

Of course, being the smartass I am I dance to Spinal Tap when I'm bored.."gimme some money"...

Last December I also danced to several songs off the Bob Rivers Twisted Christmas CD!

For sheer obscurity I would have to say "Hurricane" by the Thinking Fellers Union Local 282 is the furthest-out thing I've danced to.
OMG, someone else remembers these guys. Long ago, a dancer earned a huge tip from me by dancing to Zig Zag Wanderer by Captain Beefheart.

Agreed with Andygirl, "War Pigs" isn't a weird or obscure choice at all. I danced to it last week, too. Black Sabbath is downright classic rock.

The CD I just burned for work has Dinosaur Jr's "Freak Scene," an old Six Finger Satellite track, "Final Solution" by Pere Ubu and "Bastards of Young" by the Replacements. For sheer obscurity I would have to say "Hurricane" by the Thinking Fellers Union Local 282 is the furthest-out thing I've danced to. Or maybe "Shotgun," by your city's very own Big Black. But at my club you can hear Wire, the Modern Lovers, Johnny Thunders, Midlake, the Brian Jonestown Massacre, Fugazi, Edith Piaf and many, many other less traditional tracks.
Daaaamn! I'd love to dance to 'i am the fly' and 'she cracked', haha. Unfortunately at the main club I'm working, we can't bring our own music in (no cd players - just the dj's laptop).
