I would never have known I fit in anywhere
I would never have met my husband.

I would be dead now, either from the EDs or suicide.
I wouldn't have had the best friends in the world
I would not have met my favorite rockstar (Steven Tyler).

On the negative, my daughter might not have had to deal with teachers implying to her that her mother is a whore because of her job.
I would still be living in an abusive relationship.

On the plus, I would never have gotten my dream car or had the money to get it reworked back to factory specs .
I have a 1973 VW Beetle Convertible (pink) that is currently being restored.

    - I would think groceries and dinners out were more expensive and buy less
    - I would be pissed at gas prices
    - I probably would not have gotten my dui
    - I would not know what a straightner was or use salon shampoo
    - I would still live in another state
    - I would have to be on time every day to whatever job I was doing
    - maybe I would have a kid by now
    - I would not have started smoking
    - I wouldnt wear fake eyelashes out on my nights off and to dinners sometimes
    - I wouldn't dress so casual in daily life ( i used to think the sexier the better and now i just get sick of it)

    Love this!!

    Stripping has taught me:
    How to flirt with men.
To be able to run - even walk, and dance - in high heels with ease.
To perfect my makeup to a T.
    How to compartmentalize.
How to say no to someone.
    My boundaries.
How to have confidence in myself.
How to believe in myself and how to handle constant rejection.
How to keep a positive attitude all the time.
    How to talk to people.
How to get to know someone.
How to get someone to spend money on me.
    How to give a lapdance.
    How fit I can be.
To have confidence on any stage, any time, any where.
    That I LOVE pole dancing.
That I deserve to make lots and lots of money.
That I am worthy of love, respect and lots and lots of money.
About the Law of Attraction - the best and number ONE thing I have learned from dancing is this.

-I wouldn't be as strong mentally or physically
    -I wouldn't be as assertive
-I wouldn't know how to put on makeup
-I'd suck at walking in heels
-I wouldn't have been able to pay for school
-I wouldn't live by myself in my nice apartment

-i wouldn't have met my awesome fiancé, and would probably still be with some shallow abusive twat
-and what's more , i wold probably let that shallow twat keep abusing me and i'd come back to him like some little puppy because i didn't know my own worth before stripping, and i didn't understand men
-i might still be living with my parents on and off * shudder*
-i wouldn't be financially secure and independent and i'd still be stressed out and miserable every day
-i wouldn't keep myself in as good physical condition
    - i wouldn't have left my crappy hillbilly hometown
-i probably wouldn't have been able to kick my addiction
-i wouldn't get hardly any time with my son
-i wouldn't be a pro at fake eyelashes
    - my insecurity and shyness would still be crippling me

jesus..i can't imagine my life if i hadn't started stripping, this job completely change my life.

    - I'd be better at thinking before I spoke instead of reflexively responding with stripper attitude.. had a customer at my vanilla job the other night ask me for a gazillion things and I actually opened my mouth to say "You gonna tip me for that?".. luckily stopped in time!

    - I'd still be waiting tables, afraid to quit because of money... I love knowing I can quit my vanilla "cover" whenever I want and just pick up extra dancing shifts or sell clips

    - I'd still be a people pleaser

    - I'd still be chasing around guys like a puppy and giving my exes 5th chances

    - I would not be able to talk to random strangers, nor would I be as blunt, outspoken and hilarious as I am now

    - I'd still have "shame"... a pair of panties somehow fell out of my purse in public the other night and I was just like "Oh I was looking for those". I think the poor middle-aged guy who pointed them out was extra shocked and extra embarassed, trying to make up for my lack of it

    - I could have still worked as a Respiratory Therapist, since the state professional licensing agency would have renewed my RT license without issue, and NOT fined me / cited me for 'unprofessional conduct', after 1099's issued by 'adult' businesses turned up in the 'new' background check they performed.

    - I could have never have afforded to be able to retire by age 40 ... meaning that I would have needed to KEEP working as an RT until I reached retirement age !!!

If I had never started stripping
    I would be a conformist
I would've moved in with the warehouse worker
I would not have custody of my child
    I wouldn't have my place
    I wouldn't have my car
I would still be insecure about being darker skinned (stupid Mexican ppl)
    I wouldn't know the great contacts/friends I know
I would still obsess over my full lips being a bad thing (stupid Mexican ppl)
I would still be envious of beautiful women
I would still have low self esteem
I don't think I could get my way most of the time with men the way I do now
    I wouldn't believe "I'm worth it"

If I think of more I'll write

    Ohhh ok
I wouldn't have SW therefore wouldn't have the support I'm getting from these ladies, I would have relapsed into alcoholism. Today is day 25 and Im still getting emails, thank you everyone. =)

I would have been evicted and out on my ass .
My lil sister wouldn't have half the things she does
Never would have been 100% secure with my body
Never would have known how to apply lashes
Never would have got my first Brazilian wax
Never would have had an outlet for my bisexual tendencies .
Traveled by myself to states I knew nothing about
    More outspoken

I've benefited a lot from dancing . I've never regretted it

I never would've moved from the area in Florida that was nothing but toxic to me, I'm 1000x happier where I am now...

I never would've met the love of my life/my boyfriend (I met him through another dancer after I moved, long time friend of hers)... <3

    I never would've gotten my Kitty!!... <3

I never would've had the opportunity to finish my schooling...

I never would've become more comfortable with my body...

I never would've become more comfortable talking to all types of people...

I never would've gained focus in my life, and what I want from it...

I never would've stopped doing drugs (surprisingly, dancing helped me clean up my act)...which in turn means I probably would be dead...

I never would've met some of the people I have; good, bad or indifferent, they helped me in a variety of ways...

I never would've had opportunities presented to me in my "real" career field...I've gone back before only to return to dancing...and hopefully soon I'll be leaving dancing for good in an even higher position at higher pay...this never could've happen if I didn't dance...

I never would've become reliant on alcohol at work (I go through periods where I work totally sober, and others when I'm a total lush...right now I'm in a lush period. It sucks and I know my lush periods are not healthy), it helps me deal with parts of the industry I'm not okay with, and my depression...

I never would've been as deep in depression as I can get sometimes...

It never would've taught me the things it has about myself. That I am strong, and can handle anything.

    * I would still be scared to voice my opinion
    * I would never of learned to stand up for myself
    * I would not have gotten such tuff skin

-I would't know how to put on fake eyelashes
-I would have a much smaller (and less awesome/expensive) closet
-I would not be able to follow my dream and move to another country upon graduating from college
-I would be a lot more shy (stripping really gave me confidence and brought me out of my shell, I was so scared to talk to boys before)

    * I wouldn't have any conversational skills and I'd be hopeless at reading body language.
    * I would still not know any makeup skills and would still be terrified of red lipstick
    * My ability to walk in heels would be strictly imaginary
    * I would not have started pole dancing and getting serious about my body
    * I would probably still think that one can survive on minimum wage
    * I would be living with family with no bills or credit to my name, dependent on their assistance
    * I would still be living in Florida with my overly controlling family, going to college for a career I don't want to make other people happy
    * I wouldn't have found a degree that interests me (circus arts)
    * I wouldn't have realized how close I can be with other women
    * I would not have known how to be seductive or persuasive per say (stripping taught me how to 'act')
There are always more but that would be too long.

I probably wouldn't be in University right now.
I would be slaving myself, working 40 hours a week at a vanilla job, trying to make ends meet, have no savings but debts.
I wouldn't be able to afford designer clothing and expensive vibrators (lol).
I wouldn't know how to engage a conversation with a stranger with such ease. I used to be a very shy introvert, now everytime I go on a date with a new guy, it is always a successful date!
I wouldn't have any female friends.
I would still be the "girl who is too nice" in relationships.

    On a more serious note:
I would not be so comfortable in my own skin.
I would not have near as many friends.
I would not be near as happy and content with my life as I am now

-I wouldn't have seen all of the great things I have seen from all of the traveling I have been able to do if it wasn't for dancing.

-I would have never came out of my shell, I would still be that girl that was too shy to talk to anyone and sit in my house constantly and do nothing pretty much.

-I would have never met all of the great people I have met if it wasn't for dancing.

-I would have never found this community.

-I would have never learned to dance, now I get compliments on my dancing skills all the time but before my dancing days everyone called me Elaine.
