Holy mother of God. What do you tend to make on a nightly basis?
Is a stage fee the same as a house fee or a separate entity altogether?
Do you also have tip-outs?
Even on the most expensive night here in Dallas, our house fees and tip-outs only come out to $50 or so...
YES it's high. I think the only place it wouldn't be high in comparison would be Scores and maybe a couple of the other big extravagant ones in NYC.
Without getting into Champange fees, ours comes to $60 including DJ minimum.

"I just can't get over how much babies cry. I really had no idea what I was getting into. To tell you the truth, I thought it would be more like getting a cat." -- Anne Lamott

yeah that's high, how much so you make in a night? the most i pay is $50, it's $70 with tip out included.

$10 per shift (4 hour shifts) so the most I pay is $20, then DJ tip.

Dance tax? So that takes care of your quarterly taxes? I wish we had that so I didn't have to file.
$250 house fee?? Thats insane!! I HOPE that at LEAST includesall tip outs..DJ, housemom, bouncers..etc...
Even still....I wouldnt pay that unless there was a guarentee I'd walk with thousands a night.
Right now I pay no house fee at my club if you get there by 7. THe only mandtory tp out is Dj...but i tip the bouncer that walks me out too and anyone who goes out of their way for me.

No fee at my club. 10% tp out to the bartender, who's also the security. They don't even seem that insane about it. I once seriously undertipped someone when I was pissed at them for sitting on their ass and failing to even attempt to take care of repeated security issues one night. I never heard about it again.
I've heard that San Francisco has the most outrageous stage fees in the country. I was reading an article in spread magazine about high cost places for dancers to work, and they said at the time of publication The O'farrel theater was charging over $500 for some evening shifts.
Here's something you may not know (unless you're a reader of Spread magazine, which I highly reccomend to anyone in the sex industry). Some dancers have been SUING their clubs in California to recoup their house fees. And they're WINNING. Quite a lot too, one girl got back 30,000 she's paid in house fees over the past years.
What other entertainer pays to preform? Without us, what does any club have? Then it is just a bar that has a stage in it. Independent contractors? Are we really? When they set your hours, your schedule in the club and want to prevent you from working down the street at the same time, I do not see it.
$80 is the most I tip out (and that includes tips and if I was there for a shift change). The house fee itself is either free or $40 (depending on who the bouncer is and the shift).
If you think school is hard, try being stupid.
$25 $10 min. to the bartendars/bouncer(who never does anything and is about 5'6 if that), and DJ.

$250?! how much do you make a night? here I usually pay $50 fee cause i get to work late and plus all tipouts usually $80-100 total.

well, if you think about it, i could pay out up to that much too. reg dances i pay 5, topless i pay 10. if i were doing 25 topless dances a night, im paying out 250 too. its just that we pay as we go so it doesnt seem like that.
Well thats def true... but that is contigent on how many dances or CR's you do. Not an up front fee. I've def given clubs dfar more then $250 on really good nights when you coudl house/tip outs AND their cuts from dances and such.
But a $250 house fee? No. So If I make $300 that day..I get to walk with $50 because the house takes it all? Umm..no. So it would have to be a serious BANKING club to justify fees that high

^ yeah, i dont think i'd ever do that. i was just saying it the way i did because once i said something about how my club doesnt have housefees, only 10 to the dj, and someone said yeah right they take so much from dancing. that was all![]()

Well... in NYC clubs charge about that much http://www.stripperweb.com/forum/showthread.php?t=97512
I usually work where house fees are between $60-$150.
We don't have housefees, and tipout is free if you're on the floor by 9pm, although I almost always take care of the bartender, dj, and bouncers.
$250 is completely insane....

Well... clubs don't usually charge a house fee that is impossible to pay.
The working theory goes something like: what ever the house fee is..... there is a good chance that you can earn it and go home with 3-4 times the house fee on an average night. So.... maybe a high house fee is worth the hassle.

It depends on which night you work for my club. The lowest is Sunday and/or Monday with $30. The highest is Friday with $100. You pay this at the beginning of your shift or else you cannot work. You do not need to tip anyone else unless you want to do so (ie waitresses usually). No need to tip DJs, doormen, etc. Only the waitresses and barstaff besides the dancers accept tips.

As far as my experience goes, stage fees and house fees are the same thing. Could be wrong though.
On average, I tip out 16% of what I gross each night. I just went back and figured that out. My old club was 19%.
Scary thing is... after taxes on my net earnings, and 16% of my gross earnings going to tipout/fees, I only call 63% of what I pull in through my garter my own. That sucks.

^^^ yup- same here- 16% w/ tip-outs. 30 dollar stage fee. 50 if late. 100 bucks if you miss a shift.
...but 250?? (does the OP actually wanna answer this? i think we are all curious...)
Day shift is $25. Night shift is $30 before 8, $50 between 8-9, and after 9 is $70. Then we tip appr 22% of what we make (10% to manager, 7% to DJ, and 5% to doorman). On weekends one of the doormen works as security also, so I give him an extra $20 'cause he takes care of me!
