    Default Wedding Music

Ok, my wedding is in 46 days and we're meeting with the DJ this weekend, and I was just looking for some suggestions on songs we should play. I have a pretty good list so far, but always looking for more input so any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

what kind of crowd will be there? age range? things like that you should take into consideration. you might want a range of different things to please all ages and get people involved, but just remember that this is mainly about you and your future spouse.

Adam Sandler's cover of "Love Stinks" from The Wedding Singer was definitely a classic wedding hit.

There will be all ages. We have some Sinatra, Elvis, Metallica, Faith Hill,Tim McGraw, Vanilla Ice, Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers, Usher, Outkast, PCD, really trying for Who Da Funk but I'm getting some static because it might offend some

You should be able to play whatever you want at your wedding. Its your day! (Unless your family/future in laws are footing the bill, then you might have a problem).

However, I think some discretion should be used. Why don't you save it for towards the end of the night? A lot of old folk leave after the cake cutting and formalities have been done. Its less likely to offend some at that point, especially if everyone is in party mood and had a few drinks in them.

I don't think it will get too crazy, lots of older relatives are coming, and little kids

From what I've seen people tend to stick with standards, oldies and 70s and 80s disco, funk, and dance tunes. That's what to do if you want to be BLAND! pbbt. Keep it crowd-pleasing, sure, but throw in some personal favorites to amuse yourself at the very least.

But really, I'm no help. I walked down the aisle to "Smoke on the Water" 'cause I thought it was funny, the DJ was a local bandleader who played some Velvet Underground, the band was lead by an alcoholic underground singer-songwriter from Kentucky, and the officiant was an English pop cult hero . . . so maybe we took things to an extreme. No one had a bad time, though!

yeah, but I'm pretty sure it's cost me a lot in the long run, I can't count the number of times she asked for something and said, "But you get to play Metallica, right?"

I heard a friend of mine spin a song a couple weeks ago that I thought would make a good wedding song/ song to play at a wedding.

it is Naturally by slow train. Of course, you can't go wrong with At last by Etta James either.

    congrats on your big day!
